And King David said, Call Zadok the priest, Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada to me. And they came before the king.

26 But me, even me your servant, and Zadok the priest, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and your servant Solomon, he has not called.
27 Has this thing been done by my lord the king, and you have not shown it to your servant, who should sit on the throne of my lord the king after him?
28 Then King David answered and said, Call Bathsheba to me. And she came into the king's presence and stood before the king.
29 And the king swore and said, As the LORD lives, who has redeemed my soul out of all distress,
31 Then Bathsheba bowed with her face to the earth, and did reverence to the king, and said, Let my lord King David live forever.
10 But Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah, and the mighty men, and Solomon his brother, he did not call.
11 Therefore Nathan spoke to Bathsheba the mother of Solomon, saying, Have you not heard that Adonijah the son of Haggith reigns, and David our lord does not know it?
12 Now therefore come, let me, I pray you, give you advice, that you may save your own life, and the life of your son Solomon.
13 Go and approach King David, and say to him, Did you not, my lord, O king, swear to your servant, saying, Assuredly Solomon your son shall reign after me, and he shall sit upon my throne? Why then does Adonijah reign?
14 Behold, while you yet speak there with the king, I also will come in after you, and confirm your words.
15 And Bathsheba went to the king into the chamber; and the king was very old, and Abishag the Shunammite was serving the king.
16 And Bathsheba bowed and did homage to the king. And the king said, What do you wish?
17 And she said to him, My lord, you swore by the LORD your God to your servant, saying, Assuredly Solomon your son shall reign after me, and he shall sit upon my throne.
18 And Bathsheba said, Very well; I will speak for you to the king.
19 Bathsheba therefore went to King Solomon, to speak to him for Adonijah. And the king rose up to meet her, and bowed himself to her, and sat down on his throne, and had a seat set for the king's mother; and she sat at his right hand.
8 But Zadok the priest, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and Nathan the prophet, and Shimei, and Rei, and the mighty men who belonged to David, were not with Adonijah.

13 And Adonijah the son of Haggith came to Bathsheba the mother of Solomon. And she said, Do you come peaceably? And he said, Peaceably.
11 And David called for Zadok and Abiathar the priests, and for the Levites, for Uriel, Asaiah, Joel, Shemaiah, Eliel, and Amminadab,
30 And Benaiah came to the tabernacle of the Lord, and said to him, Thus says the king, Come forth. And he said, No; but I will die here. And Benaiah told the king this, saying, Thus said Joab, and thus he answered me.
11 Then the king sent to call Ahimelech the priest, the son of Ahitub, and all his father's house, the priests that were in Nob: and they all came to the king.

35 And the king put Benaiah the son of Jehoiada in his place over the army, and Zadok the priest the king put in the place of Abiathar.
17 And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the Cherethites and the Pelethites; and the sons of David were chief officials around the king.
17 David also commanded all the leaders of Israel to help Solomon his son, saying,
3 Therefore, all the elders of Israel came to the king at Hebron; and David made a covenant with them in Hebron before the LORD, and they anointed David king over Israel, according to the word of the LORD through Samuel.
25 He sent word by the hand of Nathan the prophet; and he called his name Jedidiah, because of the LORD.
