9 Why have you despised the commandment of the LORD, to do evil in His sight? You have killed Uriah the Hittite with the sword, and have taken his wife to be your wife, and have slain him with the sword of the children of Ammon.
10 Now therefore, the sword shall never depart from your house; because you have despised Me, and have taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be your wife.
17 According to all these words and according to all this vision, so did Nathan speak to David.
3 And David took more wives in Jerusalem, and David fathered more sons and daughters.
4 Now these are the names of the children he had in Jerusalem: Shammua, Shobab, Nathan, and Solomon,

6 Then David sent to Joab, saying, Send me Uriah the Hittite. And Joab sent Uriah to David.
35 Then you shall come up after him, that he may come and sit upon my throne; for he shall be king in my place; and I have appointed him to be ruler over Israel and over Judah.
7 Then David lived in the stronghold; therefore, they called it the city of David.

6 Then he called for Solomon his son, and charged him to build a house for the LORD God of Israel.
