And King David sent to Zadok and to Abiathar the priests, saying, Speak to the elders of Judah, saying, Why are you the last to bring the king back to his house? Since the speech of all Israel has come to the king, even to his house.

24 And behold, Zadok also, and all the Levites were with him, bearing the ark of the covenant of God: and they set down the ark of God; and Abiathar went up, until all the people had passed out of the city.
25 And the king said to Zadok, Carry back the ark of God into the city: if I shall find favor in the eyes of the LORD, he will bring me again, and show me both it, and his habitation:

3 Therefore, all the elders of Israel came to the king at Hebron; and David made a covenant with them in Hebron before the LORD, and they anointed David king over Israel, according to the word of the LORD through Samuel.

15 Then Hushai said to Zadok and Abiathar the priests, Thus and thus did Ahithophel counsel Absalom and the elders of Israel; and thus and thus have I advised.
16 Now therefore send quickly and tell David, saying, Do not lodge this night in the plains of the wilderness, but speedily pass over, lest the king and all the people who are with him be swallowed up.
29 Then the king sent and gathered together all the elders of Judah and Jerusalem.
17 And Absalom said to Hushai, Is this your kindness to your friend? Why did you not go with your friend?
10 When they told David, saying, Uriah did not go down to his house, David said to Uriah, Did you not come from a journey? Why did you not go down to your house?
