26And to Abiathar the priest, the king said, Go to Anathoth, to your own fields; for you are deserving of death, but I will not put you to death at this time, because you carried the ark of the Lord God before David my father, and because you have been afflicted in all that my father was afflicted.
27So Solomon removed Abiathar from being priest to the Lord, that he might fulfill the word of the Lord which He spoke concerning the house of Eli at Shiloh.
35And do you not have there with you Zadok and Abiathar the priests? therefore it shall be, that whatever thing you hear out of the king's house, you shall tell it to Zadok and Abiathar the priests.
11And David called for Zadok and Abiathar the priests, and for the Levites, for Uriel, Asaiah, Joel, Shemaiah, Eliel, and Amminadab,
27And David was clothed with a robe of fine linen, and all the Levites who bore the ark, and the singers, and Chenaniah the master of the song with the singers: David also wore an ephod of linen.
6Then David answered and said to Ahimelech the Hittite and Abishai the son of Zeruiah, Joab's brother, "Who will go down with me to the camp of Saul?" And Abishai said, "I will go down with you."
32And King David said, Call Zadok the priest, Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada to me. And they came before the king.
57When David returned from killing the Philistine, Abner took him and brought him before Saul with the head of the Philistine in his hand.

32And it came to pass, that when David came to the top of the mount, where he worshipped God, behold, Hushai the Archite came to meet him with his coat torn, and earth upon his head:
8And David inquired of the LORD, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? shall I overtake them? And He answered him, Pursue: for you shall surely overtake them, and without fail recover all.
17And the king said to the footmen that stood about him, Turn, and slay the priests of the LORD; because their hand also is with David, and because they knew when he fled, and did not show it to me. But the servants of the king would not put forth their hand to attack the priests of the LORD.
15Then Hushai said to Zadok and Abiathar the priests, Thus and thus did Ahithophel counsel Absalom and the elders of Israel; and thus and thus have I advised.
7And he conferred with Joab the son of Zeruiah, and with Abiathar the priest; and they followed Adonijah and helped him.
27The king said also to Zadok the priest, Are you not a seer? return to the city in peace, and your two sons with you, Ahimaaz your son, and Jonathan the son of Abiathar.
20And the priest's heart was glad, and he took the ephod, the teraphim, and the carved image, and went among the people.
14And David danced before the LORD with all his might, and David was girded with a linen ephod.
22And David answered and said, "Behold the king's spear! Let one of the young men come over and get it."

2Therefore David inquired of the LORD, saying, Shall I go and strike these Philistines? And the LORD said to David, Go and strike the Philistines, and save Keilah.
12And David was afraid of God that day, saying, How shall I bring the ark of God home to me?
31When the words that David spoke were heard, they repeated them before Saul, and he sent for him.
13And David said to the young man who told him, Where are you from? And he answered, I am the son of a stranger, an Amalekite.
9And David was afraid of the LORD that day, and said, How shall the ark of the LORD come to me?
34And after Ahithophel was Jehoiada the son of Benaiah, and Abiathar; and the general of the king's army was Joab.
28And did I choose him out of all the tribes of Israel to be my priest, to offer upon my altar, to burn incense, to wear an ephod before me? and did I give to the house of your father all the offerings made by fire of the children of Israel?
1Moreover Ahithophel said to Absalom, Let me now choose twelve thousand men, and I will arise and pursue David tonight:
