And the king swore and said, As the LORD lives, who has redeemed my soul out of all distress,

36And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada answered the king and said, Amen. May the LORD God of my lord the king say so too.
37As the LORD has been with my lord the king, so may He be with Solomon, and make his throne greater than the throne of my lord King David.
16For the king will hear, to deliver his maidservant from the hand of the man who would destroy me and my son together out of the inheritance of God.
21And Ittai answered the king, and said, As the LORD lives, and as my lord the king lives, surely in whatever place my lord the king shall be, whether in death or life, even there also will your servant be.

8And Solomon said to God, You have shown great mercy to David my father, and have made me to reign in his place.
9Now, O LORD God, let your promise to David my father be established: for you have made me king over a people like the dust of the earth in multitude.
12Now therefore come, let me, I pray you, give you advice, that you may save your own life, and the life of your son Solomon.
13Go and approach King David, and say to him, Did you not, my lord, O king, swear to your servant, saying, Assuredly Solomon your son shall reign after me, and he shall sit upon my throne? Why then does Adonijah reign?
15And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of Israel, who spoke with his mouth to David my father, and has with his hand fulfilled it, saying,
23The LORD repay every man for his righteousness and his faithfulness, for the LORD delivered you into my hand today, but I would not stretch out my hand against the LORD's anointed.
24And behold, as your life was valued much this day in my eyes, so let my life be valued much in the eyes of the LORD, and let Him deliver me out of all tribulation.
10It is he that gives salvation to kings: who delivers David his servant from the hurtful sword.
3And all the congregation made a covenant with the king in the house of God. And he said to them, Behold, the king's son shall reign, as the LORD has said of the sons of David.

1And David spoke to the LORD the words of this song on the day that the LORD had delivered him from the hand of all his enemies, and from the hand of Saul:
2And he said, The LORD is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer;
45And King Solomon shall be blessed, and the throne of David shall be established before the Lord forever.
15You who have kept with your servant David my father what you promised him; and spoke with your mouth, and have fulfilled it with your hand, as it is today.
18And Bathsheba said, Very well; I will speak for you to the king.
