And at this house, which is exalted, everyone who passes by it shall be astonished, and shall hiss; and they shall say, Why has the LORD done this to this land and to this house?

11 For the house of Israel and the house of Judah have dealt very treacherously against me, says the LORD.
6 Thus says the LORD of hosts; If it is marvelous in the eyes of the remnant of this people in these days, should it also be marvelous in My eyes? says the LORD of hosts.
8 Will not the land tremble for this, and all who dwell in it mourn? It shall rise up wholly like a flood; it shall be cast out and drowned, as by the flood of Egypt.
22 And will make your house like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and like the house of Baasha the son of Ahijah, for the provocation with which you have provoked me to anger, and made Israel to sin.
9 And it shall come to pass, if there remain ten men in one house, they shall die.
12 Who is the wise man, that may understand this? and who is he to whom the mouth of the LORD has spoken, that he may declare it, for what the land perishes and is burned up like a wilderness, that no one passes through?
30 For the children of Judah have done evil in my sight, says the LORD: they have set their abominations in the house which is called by my name, to defile it.
