Then Saul said to his servants, Seek me a woman with a familiar spirit, that I may go to her and inquire of her. And his servants said to him, Behold, there is a woman with a familiar spirit at Endor.

14 And he said to her, What form does he have? And she said, An old man comes up, and he is covered with a mantle. And Saul perceived that it was Samuel, and he bowed with his face to the ground.
15 And Samuel said to Saul, Why have you disturbed me, to bring me up? And Saul answered, I am in great distress; for the Philistines make war against me, and God has departed from me and does not answer me anymore, neither by prophets nor by dreams. Therefore I have called you, that you may make known to me what I shall do.
16 Then Samuel said, Why do you ask me, seeing the LORD has departed from you and has become your enemy?
20 Then Saul fell immediately full length on the ground, and was very afraid because of the words of Samuel: and there was no strength in him, for he had eaten no bread all day nor all night.
21 And the woman came to Saul, and saw that he was very troubled, and said to him, Behold, your maidservant has obeyed your voice, and I have put my life in my hand and have listened to your words which you spoke to me.
22 Now therefore, please listen also to the voice of your maidservant, and let me set a morsel of bread before you; and eat, that you may have strength when you go on your way.
14 But the Spirit of the LORD departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the LORD troubled him.
15 And Saul's servants said to him, Behold now, an evil spirit from God troubles you.
16 Let our lord now command your servants who are before you, to seek out a man who is a skillful player on a harp: and it shall come to pass, when the evil spirit from God is upon you, that he shall play with his hand, and you shall be well.
17 And Saul said to his servants, Provide me now a man that can play well, and bring him to me.
18 Then Saul drew near to Samuel in the gate and said, Tell me, I pray you, where the seer's house is.
19 And Samuel answered Saul and said, I am the seer: go up before me to the high place; for you shall eat with me today, and tomorrow I will let you go, and will tell you all that is in your heart.
7 Then said Saul to his servant, But behold, if we go, what shall we bring the man? For the bread is gone from our vessels, and there is no present to bring to the man of God: what do we have?
8 And the servant answered Saul again and said, Behold, I have here at hand a fourth part of a shekel of silver: I will give that to the man of God, to tell us our way.

10 Then Saul said to his servant, Well said; come, let us go. So they went unto the city where the man of God was.
11 And as they went up the hill to the city, they found young maidens going out to draw water, and said to them, Is the seer here?

22 Then he himself went to Ramah, and came to the great well that is in Sechu; and he asked and said, Where are Samuel and David? And someone said, Behold, they are at Naioth in Ramah.
14 And Saul's uncle said to him and to his servant, Where did you go? And he said, To seek the donkeys: and when we saw that they were nowhere, we came to Samuel.
15 And Saul's uncle said, Tell me, please, what Samuel said to you.

2 And Samuel said, How can I go? If Saul hears it, he will kill me. And the LORD said, Take a heifer with you, and say, I have come to sacrifice to the LORD.
3 And call Jesse to the sacrifice, and I will show you what you shall do: and you shall anoint for me him whom I name to you.
22 And Saul sent to Jesse, saying, Let David, I pray you, stand before me, for he has found favor in my sight.
15 Now the LORD had told Samuel in his ear a day before Saul came, saying,
31 Do not turn to those who have familiar spirits, nor seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I am the LORD your God.
1 Samuel also said to Saul, The LORD sent me to anoint you to be king over His people, over Israel: now therefore listen to the voice of the words of the LORD.
10 And it came to pass on the next day, that the evil spirit from God came upon Saul, and he prophesied in the midst of the house: and David played with his hand, as at other times: and there was a javelin in Saul's hand.
16 Then Samuel said to Saul, Stay, and I will tell you what the LORD said to me this night. And he said to him, Speak on.
13 And Saul said to him, Why have you conspired against me, you and the son of Jesse, in that you have given him bread, and a sword, and have enquired of God for him, that he should rise against me, to lie in wait, as at this day?
24 And the servants of Saul told him, saying, This is what David spoke.
