2Beloved, now we are the children of God, and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be: but we know that when he appears, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
3And everyone who has this hope in him purifies himself, just as he is pure.

1Therefore, seeing we also are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
13Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ;
5For the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, of which you heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel;
2But I plead with you, that I may not be bold when I am present with that confidence by which I think to be bold against some who think of us as if we walked according to the flesh.
7But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God, and not of us.
18Pray for us; for we are confident that we have a good conscience, in all things willing to live honorably.
13Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, where righteousness dwells.
14Therefore, beloved, seeing that you look for such things, be diligent that you may be found by him in peace, without spot, and blameless.
11Let such a person consider this, that as we are in word by letters when we are absent, such will we be also in deed when we are present.
