    4Lest if those of Macedonia come with me and find you unprepared, we (not to say you) should be ashamed of this same confident boasting.

    5Therefore I thought it necessary to urge the brethren, that they would go ahead to you and prepare in advance your generous gift, which had been promised before, that it might be ready as a matter of generosity, and not as of covetousness.

    9And when I was with you and in need, I was a burden to no one: for what I lacked the brothers who came from Macedonia supplied. And in all things I have kept myself from being a burden to you, and so I will keep myself.

    10As the truth of Christ is in me, no one shall stop me of this boasting in the regions of Achaia.

  • 14But without your consent I wanted to do nothing, that your benefit should not be by compulsion, but willingly.

  • 1It is not profitable for me, doubtless, to boast. I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord.

  • 8For from you the word of the Lord has sounded forth, not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith toward God has gone out, so that we do not need to say anything.

  • 10And in this I give my advice: it is beneficial for you who began a year ago not only to do but also to desire to do it.

  • 13I had many things to write, but I will not with ink and pen write to you:

  • 17For if I do this willingly, I have a reward; but if against my will, I have been entrusted with a stewardship.

  • 8And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound in every good work:

  • 23Moreover, I call God as a witness upon my soul, that to spare you I did not come yet to Corinth.

  • 17Not because I desire a gift, but I desire fruit that may abound to your account.

  • 11For I long to see you, that I may impart to you some spiritual gift, so that you may be established;

  • 15Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and love for all the saints,
