6So we urged Titus, that as he had begun, he would also complete in you this grace also.
7Therefore, as you abound in everything, in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in all diligence, and in your love for us, see that you abound in this grace also.
8I speak not by commandment, but as a test of the sincerity of your love by the diligence of others.
12Therefore, though I wrote to you, I did not do it for the sake of him who had done the wrong, nor for the sake of him who suffered wrong, but that our care for you in the sight of God might appear to you.
13Therefore we were comforted in your comfort: yes, and exceedingly the more did we rejoice for the joy of Titus, because his spirit was refreshed by you all.
14For if I have boasted anything to him about you, I am not ashamed; but as we spoke all things to you in truth, even so our boasting, which I made before Titus, is found to be true.
15And his inward affection is more abundant toward you, while he remembers the obedience of you all, how with fear and trembling you received him.
8Therefore I urge you to confirm your love toward him.
9For to this end I also wrote, that I might test you and know whether you are obedient in all things.
12For we do not commend ourselves again to you, but give you an opportunity to boast on our behalf, so that you may have an answer for those who boast in appearance and not in heart.

4So that we ourselves boast of you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that you endure:
2For I know the eagerness of your mind, for which I boast about you to the people of Macedonia, that Achaia was ready a year ago; and your zeal has inspired many.
3Yet I have sent the brethren, lest our boasting of you should be in vain regarding this matter; that, as I said, you may be ready:
4Lest if those of Macedonia come with me and find you unprepared, we (not to say you) should be ashamed of this same confident boasting.
20For you are our glory and joy.
12For our rejoicing is this, the testimony of our conscience, that in simplicity and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom, but by the grace of God, we have conducted ourselves in the world, and more abundantly toward you.
14As also you have acknowledged us in part, that we are your rejoicing, just as you also are ours in the day of the Lord Jesus.
8For though I should boast somewhat more of our authority, which the Lord has given us for edification and not for your destruction, I should not be ashamed:
19Again, do you think that we excuse ourselves to you? We speak before God in Christ, but we do all things, dearly beloved, for your edification.
3I speak not this to condemn you: for I have said before, that you are in our hearts to die and live with you.
4Great is my boldness of speech toward you, great is my boasting of you: I am filled with comfort, I am exceedingly joyful in all our tribulation.
7So that you became examples to all who believe in Macedonia and Achaia.
8For from you the word of the Lord has sounded forth, not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith toward God has gone out, so that we do not need to say anything.
7For we have great joy and solace in your love, because the hearts of the saints are refreshed by you, brother.
8Therefore, though I might be very bold in Christ to command you to do what is fitting,

6But now that Timothy has come to us from you, and brought us good news of your faith and love, and that you have good remembrance of us always, longing to see us, as we also to see you:
7Therefore, brothers, we were comforted concerning you in all our affliction and distress by your faith:
12That the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.
8So being affectionately desirous of you, we were willing to impart to you, not the gospel of God only, but also our own souls, because you were dear to us.
24Not that we have dominion over your faith, but are helpers of your joy; for by faith you stand.
10You are witnesses, and God also, how holily and justly and blamelessly we behaved ourselves among you who believe:
