3We give thanks to God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you,
4Since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love you have for all the saints,
5For the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, of which you heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel;
6Which has come to you, as it is in all the world; and brings forth fruit, as it does also in you, since the day you heard of it, and knew the grace of God in truth:
7As you also learned of Epaphras our dear fellow servant, who is a faithful minister of Christ for you;
9For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that you might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;
10That you might walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing him, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;
15Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and love for all the saints,
16Do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers:
17That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him:
18The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, and what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,
5Hearing of your love and faith, which you have toward the Lord Jesus and toward all the saints;
6That the sharing of your faith may become effective by the acknowledgment of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.
7For we have great joy and solace in your love, because the hearts of the saints are refreshed by you, brother.
8Therefore, though I might be very bold in Christ to command you to do what is fitting,
7Just as it is right for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart; both in my chains and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel, you all are partakers with me of grace.
8For God is my witness, how greatly I long for you all with the affection of Jesus Christ.
9And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in knowledge and all discernment;
8Therefore I urge you to confirm your love toward him.
8Which He has lavished on us in all wisdom and understanding;
22Who has also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.
12And may the Lord make you increase and abound in love toward one another, and toward all people, just as we do toward you:
3Remembering constantly your work of faith, labor of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the presence of God our Father;
4Knowing, beloved brothers, your election by God.
5For our gospel came to you not in word only, but also in power, in the Holy Spirit, and in full conviction; as you know what kind of men we were among you for your sake.

4I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ;
5That in everything you are enriched by him, in all speech, and in all knowledge;
6Even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you:
8For from you the word of the Lord has sounded forth, not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith toward God has gone out, so that we do not need to say anything.
3We are bound to thank God always for you, brothers, as it is fitting, because your faith grows exceedingly, and the love of every one of you all toward each other abounds;
14As also you have acknowledged us in part, that we are your rejoicing, just as you also are ours in the day of the Lord Jesus.
2That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgment of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ;

17But the latter out of love, knowing that I am appointed for the defense of the gospel.
3I thank my God upon every remembrance of you,
