7Therefore, as you abound in everything, in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in all diligence, and in your love for us, see that you abound in this grace also.
8I speak not by commandment, but as a test of the sincerity of your love by the diligence of others.
5Hearing of your love and faith, which you have toward the Lord Jesus and toward all the saints;
6That the sharing of your faith may become effective by the acknowledgment of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.
12For our rejoicing is this, the testimony of our conscience, that in simplicity and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom, but by the grace of God, we have conducted ourselves in the world, and more abundantly toward you.
13For we write no other things to you than what you read or acknowledge; and I trust you shall acknowledge even to the end;
14As also you have acknowledged us in part, that we are your rejoicing, just as you also are ours in the day of the Lord Jesus.
15Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and love for all the saints,
27Only let your conduct be worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of your affairs, that you stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;
28And not in any way terrified by your adversaries, which is to them a sign of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that from God.
6But now that Timothy has come to us from you, and brought us good news of your faith and love, and that you have good remembrance of us always, longing to see us, as we also to see you:
7Therefore, brothers, we were comforted concerning you in all our affliction and distress by your faith:
16And to pass by you into Macedonia, and to come again out of Macedonia to you, and by you to be brought on my way toward Judea.
13For this reason we also thank God without ceasing, because when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectively works also in you who believe.
18And we have sent with him the brother whose praise is in the gospel throughout all the churches;
19And not only that, but who was also chosen by the churches to travel with us with this grace, which is administered by us to the glory of the Lord himself, and to show your eager willingness.
24Not that we have dominion over your faith, but are helpers of your joy; for by faith you stand.
14For we do not extend ourselves beyond our measure, as though we did not reach to you: for we have come as far as to you also in preaching the gospel of Christ:
15Not boasting beyond our measure, that is, in other men's labors; but having hope, when your faith is increased, that we shall be enlarged by you according to our rule abundantly,
16To preach the gospel in the regions beyond you, and not to boast in another man's line of things made ready to our hand.
5That in everything you are enriched by him, in all speech, and in all knowledge;
6Even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you:
11Therefore, we also pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfill all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power:
12That the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.
2For I know the eagerness of your mind, for which I boast about you to the people of Macedonia, that Achaia was ready a year ago; and your zeal has inspired many.
3Yet I have sent the brethren, lest our boasting of you should be in vain regarding this matter; that, as I said, you may be ready:
4Lest if those of Macedonia come with me and find you unprepared, we (not to say you) should be ashamed of this same confident boasting.
6Which has come to you, as it is in all the world; and brings forth fruit, as it does also in you, since the day you heard of it, and knew the grace of God in truth:
5For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now;
8Who also declared to us your love in the Spirit.
14And most of the brethren in the Lord, having become confident by my chains, are much more bold to speak the word without fear.
1For you yourselves, brothers, know our entrance to you, that it was not in vain:
2But even after we had suffered before and were shamefully treated, as you know, at Philippi, we were bold in our God to speak to you the gospel of God with much contention.
3Remembering constantly your work of faith, labor of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the presence of God our Father;
13While by the evidence of this ministry they glorify God for your professed submission to the gospel of Christ, and for your generous sharing with them, and with all men;
10And indeed you do so toward all the brethren who are in all Macedonia, but we beseech you, brethren, that you increase more and more.
24Therefore show to them and before the churches the proof of your love and of our boasting on your behalf.
9For you remember, brothers, our labor and toil: for working night and day, that we might not be a burden to any of you, we preached to you the gospel of God.
4But as we were allowed by God to be entrusted with the gospel, even so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God, who tests our hearts.
