2For I know the eagerness of your mind, for which I boast about you to the people of Macedonia, that Achaia was ready a year ago; and your zeal has inspired many.

4Lest if those of Macedonia come with me and find you unprepared, we (not to say you) should be ashamed of this same confident boasting.
5Therefore I thought it necessary to urge the brethren, that they would go ahead to you and prepare in advance your generous gift, which had been promised before, that it might be ready as a matter of generosity, and not as of covetousness.
7So that you became examples to all who believe in Macedonia and Achaia.
8For from you the word of the Lord has sounded forth, not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith toward God has gone out, so that we do not need to say anything.
27And when he desired to cross into Achaia, the brethren wrote, exhorting the disciples to receive him; and when he arrived, he greatly helped those who had believed through grace,
3And when I arrive, whomever you approve by your letters, I will send to carry your gift to Jerusalem.
11You also helping together by prayer for us, that for the gift bestowed upon us by the means of many persons, thanks may be given by many on our behalf.
