Therefore they came back and told him. And he said, This is the word of the LORD, which he spoke by his servant Elijah the Tishbite, saying, In the plot of Jezreel dogs shall eat the flesh of Jezebel:

22 And it happened, when Joram saw Jehu, that he said, Is it peace, Jehu? And he answered, What peace, so long as the harlotries of your mother Jezebel and her witchcrafts are so many?
15 But king Joram had returned to be healed in Jezreel of the wounds which the Syrians had given him, when he fought with Hazael king of Syria.) And Jehu said, If this is your decision, then let no one go forth nor escape out of the city to tell it in Jezreel.
16 So Jehu rode in a chariot, and went to Jezreel; for Joram lay there. And Ahaziah king of Judah had come down to see Joram.

17 So he died according to the word of the LORD which Elijah had spoken. And Jehoram reigned in his place in the second year of Jehoram son of Jehoshaphat, king of Judah, because he had no son.
11 And the men of his city, even the elders and the nobles who were the inhabitants of his city, did as Jezebel had sent to them, and as it was written in the letters she had sent to them.
4 And Ahab came into his house sullen and displeased because of the word which Naboth the Jezreelite had spoken to him; for he had said, I will not give you the inheritance of my fathers. And he lay down on his bed, and turned away his face, and would eat no bread.
5 But Jezebel his wife came to him, and said to him, Why is your spirit so sad, that you eat no bread?
33 And the carcasses of this people will be meat for the birds of the sky, and for the beasts of the earth; and none will fray them away.
14 And now you say, Go, tell your lord, Behold, Elijah is here: and he shall slay me.
26 And when the prophet that brought him back from the way heard of it, he said, It is the man of God, who was disobedient to the word of the LORD: therefore the LORD has delivered him to the lion, which has torn him and slain him, according to the word of the LORD, which he spoke to him.
21 And he returned from him, and took a yoke of oxen and slaughtered them, and boiled their flesh with the instruments of the oxen, and gave it to the people, and they ate. Then he arose and went after Elijah and ministered to him.
31 And as if it had been a trivial thing for him to walk in the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, he took for his wife Jezebel the daughter of Ethbaal king of the Sidonians, and went and served Baal and worshipped him.
20 And the watchman reported, saying, He reached them and has not returned: and the driving is like the driving of Jehu the son of Nimshi; for he drives furiously.
