11 How much more, when wicked men have slain a righteous person in his own house on his bed? Shall I not therefore now require his blood from your hand, and remove you from the earth?
16 And the king said, You shall surely die, Ahimelech, you, and all your father's house.
5 For he put his life in his hand, and killed the Philistine, and the LORD worked a great salvation for all Israel; you saw it, and rejoiced; why then will you sin against innocent blood, to slay David without a cause?
21 Now David had said, Surely in vain have I protected all that this fellow has in the wilderness, so that nothing was missing of all that belonged to him, and he has repaid me evil for good.
22 So may God do to David's enemies, and more also, if by morning I leave anyone who urinates against the wall, of all who belong to him.
23 Then King Solomon swore by the Lord, saying, God do so to me, and more, if Adonijah has not spoken this word against his own life.
24 Now therefore, as the Lord lives, who has established me, and set me on the throne of David my father, and who has made me a house, as He promised, Adonijah shall be put to death today.

17 And David said to God, Was it not I who commanded the people to be numbered? It is I who have sinned and done evil indeed; but as for these sheep, what have they done? Let your hand, I pray, O LORD my God, be on me, and on my father's house; but not on your people, that they should be afflicted.
10 And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Uzza, and He struck him, because he put his hand on the ark, and there he died before God.
21 Otherwise, it shall come to pass, when my lord the king shall sleep with his fathers, that I and my son Solomon shall be counted as offenders.
18 As for his father, because he cruelly oppressed, spoiled his brother by violence, and did what is not good among his people, behold, even he shall die in his iniquity.
