8And behold, you have with you Shimei the son of Gera, a Benjamite of Bahurim, who cursed me with a grievous curse on the day I went to Mahanaim; but he came down to meet me at the Jordan, and I swore to him by the Lord, saying, I will not put you to death with the sword.
4And the king said to him, Where is he? And Ziba said to the king, Behold, he is in the house of Machir, the son of Ammiel, in Lodebar.
5Then King David sent, and brought him out of the house of Machir, the son of Ammiel, from Lodebar.
15So the king returned, and came to the Jordan. And Judah came to Gilgal, to meet the king, to conduct the king over the Jordan.
16And Shimei the son of Gera, a Benjamite, who was of Bahurim, hurried and came down with the men of Judah to meet King David.
17And there were a thousand men of Benjamin with him, and Ziba the servant of the house of Saul, and his fifteen sons and his twenty servants with him; and they went over the Jordan before the king.
18And there went over a ferry boat to carry over the king's household, and to do what he thought good. And Shimei the son of Gera fell down before the king, as he was crossing over Jordan;
16Then some of the children of Benjamin and Judah came to David at the stronghold.
17And David went out to meet them, and said to them, If you have come peacefully to help me, my heart shall be united with you; but if you have come to betray me to my enemies, since there is no wrong in my hands, may the God of our fathers see and judge.
39And all the people went over the Jordan. And when the king had crossed over, the king kissed Barzillai and blessed him; and he returned to his own place.
40Then the king went on to Gilgal, and Chimham went with him; and all the people of Judah conducted the king, and also half the people of Israel.
21And David came to the two hundred men, who were so faint that they could not follow David, whom they had also made to stay at the brook Besor: and they went out to meet David, and to meet the people that were with him: and when David came near to the people, he greeted them.
3And David went from there to Mizpeh of Moab: and he said to the king of Moab, Let my father and my mother, I pray you, come out and be with you, until I know what God will do for me.
4And he brought them before the king of Moab: and they dwelt with him all the while that David was in the stronghold.
1And when David was a little past the top of the hill, behold, Ziba the servant of Mephibosheth met him, with a couple of donkeys saddled, and upon them two hundred loaves of bread, a hundred bunches of raisins, a hundred of summer fruits, and a bottle of wine.
2And David said, I will show kindness to Hanun the son of Nahash, because his father showed kindness to me. And David sent messengers to comfort him concerning his father. So the servants of David came to the land of the children of Ammon to Hanun, to comfort him.
27To them who were in Bethel, and to them who were in south Ramoth, and to them who were in Jattir,
20So Abner came to David to Hebron, and twenty men with him. And David made Abner and the men who were with him a feast.
29And Abner and his men walked all that night through the plain, crossed over Jordan, and went through all Bithron, and came to Mahanaim.
1And it happened after this that the king of the children of Ammon died, and Hanun his son reigned in his place.
2Then David said, I will show kindness to Hanun the son of Nahash, as his father showed kindness to me. So David sent to comfort him by the hand of his servants for his father. And David's servants came into the land of the children of Ammon.
5And when King David came to Bahurim, behold, there came out a man of the family of the house of Saul, whose name was Shimei, the son of Gera: he came forth, and cursed still as he came.
12And Abner the son of Ner, and the servants of Ishbosheth the son of Saul, went out from Mahanaim to Gibeon.

2And David arose, and he passed over with the six hundred men who were with him to Achish, the son of Maoch, king of Gath.
14And the king, and all the people that were with him, came weary, and refreshed themselves there.
39They were there with David for three days, eating and drinking, for their brethren had prepared for them.
12Now David was the son of that Ephrathite of Bethlehem in Judah, named Jesse, who had eight sons. Jesse was old in the days of Saul, advanced in years.
