And the king said to him, Why speak any more of your matters? I have said, You and Ziba divide the land.

12And Mephibosheth had a young son, whose name was Micha. And all who dwelt in the house of Ziba were servants to Mephibosheth.
13So Mephibosheth dwelt in Jerusalem, for he continually ate at the king's table; and he was lame in both his feet.
22And David said, What have I to do with you, you sons of Zeruiah, that you should this day be adversaries unto me? Shall any man be put to death this day in Israel? For do not I know that I am this day king over Israel?
23Therefore the king said to Shimei, You shall not die. And the king swore to him.
24And Mephibosheth the son of Saul came down to meet the king, and had neither dressed his feet, nor trimmed his beard, nor washed his clothes, from the day the king departed until the day he came again in peace.
25And it came to pass, when he came to Jerusalem to meet the king, that the king said to him, Why did you not go with me, Mephibosheth?
26And he answered, My lord, O king, my servant deceived me; for your servant said, I will saddle an ass for myself, that I may ride on it and go to the king, because your servant is lame.
27And he has slandered your servant to my lord the king; but my lord the king is as an angel of God; do therefore what is good in your eyes.
28For all of my father's house were but dead men before my lord the king; yet you set your servant among those that eat at your own table. What right therefore have I yet to cry anymore to the king?
36Your servant will go a little way over the Jordan with the king; and why should the king recompense me with such a reward?
9Then said Abishai the son of Zeruiah to the king, Why should this dead dog curse my lord the king? let me go over, I pray you, and take off his head.
10And the king said, What have I to do with you, you sons of Zeruiah? So let him curse, because the LORD has said to him, Curse David. Who then shall say, Why have you done so?
42And all the men of Judah answered the men of Israel, Because the king is near of kin to us; why then are you angry for this matter? Have we eaten at all of the king's expense? Or has he given us any gift?
43And the men of Israel answered the men of Judah, and said, We have ten parts in the king, and we have also more right in David than you; why then did you despise us, that our advice was not first in bringing back our king? And the words of the men of Judah were fiercer than the words of the men of Israel.
15And he said, You know that the kingdom was mine, and that all Israel had their eyes on me, that I should reign; however, the kingdom has turned and has become my brother's, for it was his from the Lord.
38And the king answered, Chimham shall go over with me, and I will do for him what seems good to you; and whatever you shall request of me, that I will do for you.

7But the king spared Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan, the son of Saul, because of the LORD's oath that was between them, between David and Jonathan the son of Saul.
10And the king said, Whoever says anything to you, bring him to me, and he shall not touch you anymore.
19Then the king said to Ittai the Gittite, Why are you also going with us? Return to your place, and stay with the king: for you are a stranger and also an exile.
20Whereas you came just yesterday, should I this day make you wander with us? seeing I go where I may, return, and take back your brethren: mercy and truth be with you.
17And there were a thousand men of Benjamin with him, and Ziba the servant of the house of Saul, and his fifteen sons and his twenty servants with him; and they went over the Jordan before the king.
18And there went over a ferry boat to carry over the king's household, and to do what he thought good. And Shimei the son of Gera fell down before the king, as he was crossing over Jordan;
19And said to the king, Let not my lord impute iniquity to me, neither remember what your servant did perversely the day my lord the king went out of Jerusalem, that the king should take it to his heart.
30And it shall come to pass, when the LORD has done for my lord according to all the good He has spoken concerning you, and has appointed you ruler over Israel,
15The LORD therefore be judge and judge between me and you, and see, and plead my cause, and deliver me out of your hand.
19And the king said, Is not the hand of Joab with you in all this? And the woman answered and said, As your soul lives, my lord the king, no one can turn to the right hand or to the left from anything that my lord the king has spoken: for your servant Joab, he commanded me, and he put all these words in the mouth of your maidservant:
12Then the woman said, Let your maidservant, I pray you, speak one word to my lord the king. And he said, Speak on.
38And Shimei said to the king, The saying is good. As my lord the king has said, so your servant will do. So Shimei dwelt in Jerusalem many days.
28And Samuel said to him, The LORD has torn the kingdom of Israel from you this day, and has given it to a neighbor of yours, who is better than you.
9And all the people were at strife throughout all the tribes of Israel, saying, The king saved us out of the hand of our enemies, and he delivered us out of the hand of the Philistines; and now he has fled out of the land for Absalom.
10And Absalom, whom we anointed over us, is dead in battle. Now therefore why do you not speak a word of bringing the king back?
16For the king will hear, to deliver his maidservant from the hand of the man who would destroy me and my son together out of the inheritance of God.
