3He saw in a vision clearly about the ninth hour of the day an angel of God coming to him, and saying to him, Cornelius.
4And when he looked at him, he was afraid, and said, What is it, Lord? And he said to him, Your prayers and your alms have come up for a memorial before God.
5And now send men to Joppa, and call for one Simon, whose surname is Peter:
6He is staying with one Simon, a tanner, whose house is by the seaside: he will tell you what you ought to do.
10And whatever does not have fins and scales you may not eat; it is unclean to you.
34Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Truly I perceive that God shows no partiality:
12And the Spirit told me to go with them, doubting nothing. Moreover, these six brothers accompanied me, and we entered the man's house:
13And he showed us how he had seen an angel in his house, which stood and said to him, Send men to Joppa, and call for Simon, whose surname is Peter;
18And he said to them, Are you also without understanding? Do you not perceive that whatever enters a man from outside cannot defile him,
19Because it does not enter his heart but his stomach, and is eliminated, purging all foods?
22And they said, Cornelius the centurion, a just man, and one who fears God, and of good report among all the nation of the Jews, was warned by a holy angel to send for you to his house, and to hear words from you.
23Then he invited them in, and lodged them. And on the next day Peter went away with them, and certain brethren from Joppa accompanied him.
14But Peter, standing with the eleven, lifted up his voice and said to them, 'Men of Judea and all who dwell in Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and listen to my words:
46For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then Peter answered,
14I know and am convinced by the Lord Jesus that nothing is unclean in itself; but to him who considers anything to be unclean, to him it is unclean.
9and made no distinction between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.
44While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell on all who heard the word.
47To make a difference between the unclean and the clean, and between the animal that may be eaten and the animal that may not be eaten.
7And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up and said to them, Men and brethren, you know that a good while ago God made a choice among us, that by my mouth the Gentiles should hear the word of the gospel and believe.
