  • Exod 29:1-9 : 1 And this is what you shall do to them to consecrate them, to minister to me in the priest's office: Take one young bull, and two rams without blemish, 2 And unleavened bread, and cakes of unleavened bread mixed with oil, and unleavened wafers anointed with oil: of wheat flour you shall make them. 3 And you shall put them into one basket, and bring them in the basket, with the bull and the two rams. 4 And you shall bring Aaron and his sons to the door of the tabernacle of meeting, and wash them with water. 5 And you shall take the garments, and put on Aaron the tunic, the robe of the ephod, the ephod, and the breastplate, and gird him with the skillfully woven belt of the ephod. 6 And you shall put the turban on his head, and put the holy crown on the turban. 7 Then you shall take the anointing oil, and pour it on his head, and anoint him. 8 And you shall bring his sons and put tunics on them. 9 And you shall gird them with sashes, Aaron and his sons, and put hats on them: and the priest's office shall be theirs by a perpetual statute: thus you shall consecrate Aaron and his sons. 10 And you shall bring the bull before the tabernacle of meeting, and Aaron and his sons shall put their hands on the head of the bull. 11 And you shall kill the bull before the LORD, by the door of the tabernacle of meeting. 12 And you shall take some of the blood of the bull, and put it on the horns of the altar with your finger, and pour all the blood beside the base of the altar. 13 And you shall take all the fat that covers the entrails, the fatty lobe attached to the liver, and the two kidneys and the fat that is on them, and burn them on the altar. 14 But the flesh of the bull, with its skin and its offal, you shall burn with fire outside the camp: it is a sin offering. 15 You shall also take one ram, and Aaron and his sons shall put their hands on the head of the ram. 16 And you shall kill the ram, and you shall take its blood and sprinkle it all around on the altar. 17 And you shall cut the ram in pieces, wash its entrails and its legs, and put them with its pieces and with its head. 18 And you shall burn the whole ram on the altar: it is a burnt offering to the LORD, it is a sweet aroma, an offering made by fire to the LORD. 19 You shall also take the other ram, and Aaron and his sons shall put their hands on the head of the ram. 20 Then you shall kill the ram, and take some of its blood and put it on the tip of the right ear of Aaron, on the tip of the right ear of his sons, on the thumb of their right hand, and on the big toe of their right foot, and sprinkle the blood all around on the altar. 21 And you shall take some of the blood that is on the altar, and some of the anointing oil, and sprinkle it on Aaron, on his garments, on his sons, and on the garments of his sons with him: and he and his garments shall be hallowed, and his sons and his sons' garments with him. 22 Also you shall take the fat of the ram, the fat tail, the fat that covers the entrails, the fatty lobe attached to the liver, the two kidneys and the fat on them, and the right thigh: for it is a ram of consecration, 23 And one loaf of bread, one cake made with oil, and one wafer from the basket of the unleavened bread that is before the LORD, 24 And you shall put all these in the hands of Aaron and in the hands of his sons, and you shall wave them as a wave offering before the LORD. 25 You shall receive them back from their hands and burn them on the altar as a burnt offering, as a sweet aroma before the LORD. It is an offering made by fire to the LORD. 26 Then you shall take the breast of the ram of Aaron's consecration and wave it as a wave offering before the LORD; and it shall be your portion. 27 And you shall consecrate the breast of the wave offering and the thigh of the heave offering, which is waved and raised, of the ram of the consecration, from what was for Aaron and what was for his sons. 28 It shall be from the children of Israel for Aaron and his sons by a statute forever. For it is a heave offering; and it shall be a heave offering from the children of Israel from the sacrifices of their peace offerings, their heave offerings to the LORD. 29 And the holy garments of Aaron shall be for his sons after him, to be anointed in them and consecrated in them. 30 That son who becomes priest in his place shall put them on for seven days, when he enters the tabernacle of meeting to minister in the holy place. 31 And you shall take the ram of the consecration and boil its flesh in the holy place. 32 Then Aaron and his sons shall eat the flesh of the ram, and the bread that is in the basket, by the door of the tabernacle of meeting. 33 They shall eat those things with which the atonement was made, to consecrate and sanctify them; but a stranger shall not eat them, because they are holy. 34 And if any of the flesh of the consecrations or of the bread remains until the morning, then you shall burn the remainder with fire. It shall not be eaten, because it is holy. 35 Thus you shall do for Aaron and his sons, according to all that I have commanded you. For seven days you shall consecrate them. 36 And you shall offer every day a bull as a sin offering for atonement. You shall cleanse the altar when you make atonement for it, and you shall anoint it to sanctify it. 37 Seven days you shall make atonement for the altar and sanctify it, and the altar shall be most holy. Whatever touches the altar must be holy. 38 Now this is what you shall offer on the altar: two lambs of the first year, day by day continually. 39 One lamb you shall offer in the morning, and the other lamb you shall offer at twilight. 40 With the one lamb shall be one-tenth of an ephah of flour mixed with one-fourth of a hin of pressed oil, and one-fourth of a hin of wine as a drink offering. 41 And the other lamb you shall offer at twilight, and you shall offer with it the grain offering and the drink offering, as in the morning, for a sweet aroma, an offering made by fire to the LORD. 42 This shall be a continual burnt offering throughout your generations at the door of the tabernacle of meeting before the LORD, where I will meet you to speak with you. 43 And there I will meet with the children of Israel, and the tabernacle shall be sanctified by my glory. 44 I will sanctify the tabernacle of meeting and the altar. I will also sanctify both Aaron and his sons to minister to me in the priest's office. 45 I will dwell among the children of Israel and will be their God. 46 And they shall know that I am the LORD their God, who brought them out of the land of Egypt, that I may dwell among them. I am the LORD their God.

  • Exod 36:1-9 : 1 Then Bezaleel and Aholiab, and every wise-hearted man in whom the LORD placed wisdom and understanding, worked all kinds of tasks for the service of the sanctuary, according to all that the LORD had commanded. 2 And Moses called Bezaleel and Aholiab, and every wise-hearted man in whose heart the LORD had placed wisdom, everyone whose heart was stirred to come to the work to do it. 3 And they received from Moses all the offerings which the children of Israel had brought for the work of the service of the sanctuary, to make it. And they still brought him free offerings every morning. 4 And all the wise men who worked on the sanctuary came, each one from his work which he was doing; 5 And they spoke to Moses, saying, "The people bring much more than enough for the service of the work which the LORD commanded to be done." 6 And Moses gave the command, and they caused it to be proclaimed throughout the camp, saying, "Let neither man nor woman make any more work for the offering of the sanctuary." So the people were restrained from bringing. 7 For the materials they had were sufficient for all the work to be done, and even more. 8 And every wise-hearted man among them who did the work of the tabernacle made ten curtains of finely twisted linen, and blue, and purple, and scarlet: he made them with cherubim, the work of a skilled craftsman. 9 The length of one curtain was twenty-eight cubits, and the width of one curtain four cubits: all the curtains were of one size. 10 And he joined five curtains to one another, and the other five curtains he joined to one another. 11 And he made loops of blue yarn on the edge of one curtain on the selvedge in the joining; he did the same on the outermost edge of the other curtain, in the joining of the second set. 12 He made fifty loops on one curtain, and he made fifty loops on the edge of the curtain in the second set, so the loops could hold one curtain to the other. 13 And he made fifty gold clasps and fastened the curtains to one another with the clasps, so it became one tabernacle. 14 And he made curtains of goats' hair for the tent over the tabernacle: eleven curtains he made for them. 15 The length of one curtain was thirty cubits, and the width of one curtain four cubits: the eleven curtains were all of one size. 16 And he joined five curtains by themselves and six curtains by themselves. 17 And he made fifty loops on the edge of the curtain at the end in the second set. 18 He made fifty bronze clasps to join the tent together, so it would be one. 19 And he made a covering for the tent of ram skins dyed red, and a covering of badger skins above that. 20 And he made boards for the tabernacle of acacia wood, standing upright. 21 The length of a board was ten cubits, and the width of a board one cubit and a half. 22 Each board had two tenons, equally spaced; he did the same for all the boards of the tabernacle. 23 And he made boards for the tabernacle: twenty boards on the south side southward. 24 And forty silver sockets he made under the twenty boards: two sockets under each board for its two tenons. 25 And for the other side of the tabernacle, which faced north, he made twenty boards, 26 And their forty silver sockets: two sockets under each board. 27 And for the sides of the tabernacle westward he made six boards. 28 And he made two boards for the corners of the tabernacle in the rear. 29 And they were coupled together below, and coupled together at the top with one ring; he made both of them alike for the two corners. 30 So there were eight boards and their sockets—sixteen sockets of silver—two sockets under each board. 31 And he made bars of acacia wood: five for the boards on one side of the tabernacle, 32 And five bars for the boards on the other side of the tabernacle, and five bars for the boards of the tabernacle westward. 33 And he made the middle bar to pass through the boards from one end to the other. 34 And he overlaid the boards with gold, and made their rings of gold to serve as holders for the bars, and overlaid the bars with gold. 35 And he made a veil of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and finely twisted linen: he made it with cherubim, the work of a skilled craftsman. 36 And he made four pillars of acacia wood for it, and overlaid them with gold: their hooks were gold, and he cast four silver sockets for them. 37 And he made a screen for the tabernacle door of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and finely twisted linen, of needlework; 38 And its five pillars with their hooks; and he overlaid their tops and their bands with gold: but their five sockets were bronze.
