8For he who sows to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he who sows to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
12Therefore, do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey its lusts.
13For, brethren, you have been called to freedom; only do not use freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.
16For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father, but is of the world.
2That he should no longer live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.

13For neither do they themselves who are circumcised keep the law; but desire to have you circumcised, so that they may boast in your flesh.
7What shall we say then? Is the law sin? Certainly not. Indeed, I would not have known sin except through the law: for I would not have known lust unless the law had said, 'You shall not covet.'
41Watch and pray, that you do not enter into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
