From where do wars and fights among you come? Do they not come from your desires that war within your members?

21For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,
22Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness:
23All these evil things come from within and defile a man.
16For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father, but is of the world.
19For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:
14The beginning of strife is as when one lets out water, therefore leave off contention before it is meddled with.
7Now therefore there is utterly a fault among you, because you go to law one with another. Why do you not rather accept wrong? Why do you not rather allow yourselves to be defrauded?

5Therefore, put to death your members which are upon the earth: fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.
19Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are these: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness,
23But avoid foolish and ignorant disputes, knowing that they generate strife.
4Wherein they think it strange that you do not run with them in the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you:
2By swearing, and lying, and killing, and stealing, and committing adultery, they break out, and bloodshed follows bloodshed.
5You have lived in pleasure on the earth, and been indulgent; you have nourished your hearts as in a day of slaughter.
4He is proud, knowing nothing, but obsessed with disputes and arguments over words, from which come envy, strife, reviling, evil suspicions,
20For I fear, lest, when I come, I shall not find you as I wish, and that I shall be found by you such as you wish not; lest there be debates, envyings, wraths, strifes, backbitings, whisperings, swellings, tumults;
36What? Did the word of God originate from you? Or was it only to you that it came?
7Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
18Your way and your deeds have procured these things for you; this is your wickedness, because it is bitter, because it reaches to your heart.
13Come now, you who say, Today or tomorrow we will go into such a city and spend a year there, buy and sell, and make a profit;
23But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.
4You have not yet resisted to the point of bloodshed, striving against sin.
8This persuasion does not come from Him who calls you.
4are you not then partial among yourselves, and become judges with evil thoughts?
10Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing. My brothers, these things ought not to be so.
20For the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God.
12Therefore, do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey its lusts.
16These are grumblers, complainers, walking according to their own lusts; and they mouth great swelling words, flattering people to gain advantage.
9Do not grumble against one another, brethren, lest you be condemned: behold, the judge stands before the door.
1Since Christ suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same mind: for he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin;
9But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.
11For it has been declared to me concerning you, my brethren, by those of Chloe's household, that there are contentions among you.
