27Laban said to him, "I pray you, if I have found favor in your eyes, stay, for I have learned by experience that the LORD has blessed me for your sake."
28He said, "Set your wages, and I will give it."
29He said to him, "You know how I have served you and how your cattle have been with me."
30"For it was little which you had before I came, and it is now increased to a multitude, and the LORD has blessed you since my coming. Now, when shall I provide for my own house also?"
31He said, "What shall I give you?" And Jacob said, "You shall not give me anything; if you will do this thing for me, I will again feed and keep your flock."
38These twenty years have I been with you; your ewes and your she goats have not miscarried, and the rams of your flock have I not eaten.
39That which was torn by beasts I did not bring to you; I bore the loss of it; from my hand you required it, whether stolen by day or by night.
25Then Laban overtook Jacob. Now Jacob had pitched his tent in the mount, and Laban with his brethren pitched in Mount Gilead.
26And Laban said to Jacob, What have you done, that you have stolen away secretly from me, and carried away my daughters, as captives taken with the sword?
27Why did you flee away secretly, and steal away from me; and did not tell me, that I might have sent you away with joy, and with songs, with tambourine, and with harp?
33"So my righteousness shall answer for me in time to come, when it comes for my wages before your face. Every one that is not speckled and spotted among the goats and brown among the sheep shall be counted stolen with me."
34Laban said, "Behold, I would it might be according to your word."
