And God said to Jacob, Arise, go up to Bethel, and live there: and make there an altar to God, who appeared to you when you fled from the face of Esau your brother.

9 And Jacob said, O God of my father Abraham, and God of my father Isaac, the LORD who said to me, Return to your country and to your relatives, and I will deal well with you:
43 Now therefore, my son, obey my voice; and arise, flee to Laban my brother in Haran;
8 And he moved from there to a mountain on the east of Bethel, and pitched his tent, having Bethel on the west, and Ai on the east: and there he built an altar to the LORD, and called on the name of the LORD.
10 And Jacob departed from Beersheba, and went toward Haran.
16 And Jacob awoke from his sleep, and he said, Surely the LORD is in this place; and I did not know it.
17 And he was afraid, and said, How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven.
18 And Jacob rose up early in the morning, and took the stone that he had put as his pillow, and set it up for a pillar, and poured oil upon its top.
19 And he called the name of that place Bethel: but the name of that city was called Luz at first.
20 And Jacob vowed a vow, saying, If God will be with me, and will keep me in this way that I go, and will give me bread to eat, and clothes to wear,
21 So that I come again to my father's house in peace; then shall the LORD be my God:
2 And God spoke to Israel in the visions of the night and said, Jacob, Jacob. And he said, Here I am.
7 And that Jacob obeyed his father and his mother, and was gone to Padanaram;
2 And the LORD appeared to him, and said, Do not go down to Egypt; live in the land which I shall tell you of:
27 And Jacob came to Isaac his father at Mamre, to the city of Arbah, which is Hebron, where Abraham and Isaac lived.
25 Then Laban overtook Jacob. Now Jacob had pitched his tent in the mount, and Laban with his brethren pitched in Mount Gilead.
3 And Jacob sent messengers before him to Esau his brother in the land of Seir, the country of Edom.
5 And Isaac sent Jacob away: and he went to Padanaram to Laban, son of Bethuel the Syrian, the brother of Rebekah, Jacob's and Esau's mother.
11 And the angel of God spoke to me in a dream, saying, Jacob: And I said, Here I am.
20 And say moreover, Behold, your servant Jacob is behind us. For he said, I will appease him with the present that goes before me, and afterward I will see his face; perhaps he will accept me.
