  • 11 And they returned an answer to us, saying, We are the servants of the God of heaven and earth, and we are rebuilding the house that was built many years ago, which a great king of Israel built and set up.

  • 6 From the first day of the seventh month they began to offer burnt offerings to the LORD. But the foundation of the temple of the LORD was not yet laid.

  • 9 Then we asked those elders and said to them, Who commanded you to build this house and to finish these walls?

  • 4 Then the word of the LORD of hosts came to me, saying,

  • 15 And those who are far off shall come and build in the temple of the LORD, and you shall know that the LORD of hosts has sent me to you. And this shall come to pass, if you will diligently obey the voice of the LORD your God.

  • 18 Consider now, from this day forward, from the twenty-fourth day of the ninth month, from the day that the foundation of the LORD'S temple was laid, consider it.

  • 7 And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come, and I will fill this house with glory, says the LORD of hosts.
