Who say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Do not prophesy to us right things, speak to us smooth things, prophesy deceits:

16Also I spoke to the priests and to all this people, saying, Thus says the LORD; Do not listen to the words of your prophets that prophesy to you, saying, Behold, the vessels of the LORD's house shall now shortly be brought again from Babylon: for they prophesy a lie to you.

14Your prophets have seen vain and foolish things for you: and they have not revealed your iniquity, to turn away your captivity; but have seen for you false burdens and causes of banishment.
9And He said, Go and tell this people, You hear indeed, but do not understand; and you see indeed, but do not perceive.
10Make the heart of this people dull, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and be converted and healed.
15Because you have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we in agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come to us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hidden ourselves:
26saying, Go to this people and say, Hearing you will hear, and shall not understand; and seeing you will see, and not perceive.
10And the LORD spoke by his servants the prophets, saying,
21Hear now this, O foolish people, and without understanding; who have eyes, and see not; who have ears, and hear not:
11For they have healed the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace.
