Woe to the rebellious children, says the LORD, that seek counsel, but not from me; and that make a covering, but not of my Spirit, that they may add sin to sin:

30In vain have I struck your children; they received no correction: your own sword has devoured your prophets, like a destroying lion.

10They have turned back to the iniquities of their forefathers, who refused to hear my words; and they went after other gods to serve them: the house of Israel and the house of Judah have broken my covenant which I made with their fathers.
11Therefore thus says the LORD, Behold, I will bring evil upon them, which they shall not be able to escape; and though they cry to me, I will not listen to them.
11For the LORD spoke thus to me with a strong hand, and instructed me that I should not walk in the way of this people, saying,
23Behold, the whirlwind of the LORD goes forth with fury, a continuing whirlwind; it shall fall with pain upon the head of the wicked.
4They will not direct their deeds to turn to their God: for the spirit of prostitution is in the midst of them, and they have not known the LORD.
13And the LORD says, Because they have forsaken my law which I set before them, and have not obeyed my voice, nor walked in it;
14Therefore hear the word of the LORD, you scornful men, who rule this people who are in Jerusalem.
15Because you have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we in agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come to us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hidden ourselves:
24But they did not listen, nor incline their ear, but walked in their own counsels and in the imagination of their evil heart, and went backward, and not forward.
8Yet they did not obey nor incline their ear, but walked every one in the imagination of their evil heart. Therefore I will bring upon them all the words of this covenant, which I commanded them to do, but they did not do.
11For the house of Israel and the house of Judah have dealt very treacherously against me, says the LORD.
3Therefore thus says the LORD; Behold, against this family I devise an evil from which you shall not remove your necks; neither shall you go haughtily, for this time is evil.
30For the children of Judah have done evil in my sight, says the LORD: they have set their abominations in the house which is called by my name, to defile it.

22For my people are foolish, they have not known me; they are senseless children, and they have no understanding: they are wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge.
19Because they have not heeded my words, says the LORD, which I sent to them by my servants the prophets, rising early and sending them; but you would not hear, says the LORD.
21Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!
15Hear, and give ear; be not proud: for the LORD has spoken.
19Your own wickedness shall correct you, and your backslidings shall reprove you: know therefore and see that it is an evil thing and bitter, that you have forsaken the LORD your God, and that my fear is not in you, says the Lord GOD of hosts.
17You have wearied the LORD with your words. Yet you say, How have we wearied him? When you say, Everyone that does evil is good in the sight of the LORD, and he delights in them; or, Where is the God of justice?
