And Jeremiah did so. 13 So they drew Jeremiah up with cords and lifted him out of the dungeon; and Jeremiah remained in the court of the prison.

  • 23Your tackle is loosed; they could not strengthen their mast, they could not spread the sail; then the prey of great plunder is divided, the lame take the prey.

  • 7Who executes judgment for the oppressed; who gives food to the hungry. The LORD frees the prisoners:

  • 8O Hope of Israel, its Savior in time of trouble, why should You be as a stranger in the land, and as a traveler who turns aside to stay for a night?

  • 20Therefore hear the word of the LORD, all you of the captivity, whom I have sent from Jerusalem to Babylon.

  • 13That you may give him rest from the days of adversity, until the pit be dug for the wicked.

  • 14And he shall break it as the breaking of the potter's vessel that is broken in pieces; he shall not spare: so that there shall not be found among its fragments a shard to take fire from the hearth, or to take water from the pit.

  • 17When the poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue fails for thirst, I the LORD will hear them, I the God of Israel will not forsake them.

  • 50You who have escaped the sword, go away, do not stand still; remember the LORD afar off, and let Jerusalem come into your mind.

  • 18And it shall come to pass, that he who flees from the noise of the fear shall fall into the pit; and he who comes up out of the midst of the pit shall be taken in the snare, for the windows from on high are open, and the foundations of the earth do shake.
