    6So the couriers went with the letters from the king and his princes throughout all Israel and Judah, and according to the commandment of the king, saying, You children of Israel, return to the LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, and He will return to you who are escaped out of the hand of the kings of Assyria.

    7And do not be like your fathers, and like your brethren, who trespassed against the LORD God of their fathers, who therefore gave them up to desolation, as you see.

    8Now do not be stiff-necked, as your fathers were, but yield yourselves to the LORD, and enter into His sanctuary, which He has sanctified forever: and serve the LORD your God, that the fierceness of His wrath may turn away from you.

    9For if you turn again to the LORD, your brethren and your children shall find compassion before those that lead them captive, so that they shall come again into this land: for the LORD your God is gracious and merciful, and will not turn away His face from you, if you return to Him.

  • 2And the people will take them, and bring them to their place: and the house of Israel will possess them in the land of the LORD for servants and maidservants: and they will take them captive, whose captives they were; and they will rule over their oppressors.

  • 12Go and proclaim these words toward the north, and say, Return, backsliding Israel, says the LORD; and I will not cause my anger to fall upon you: for I am merciful, says the LORD, and I will not keep anger forever.

  • 7And they issued a proclamation throughout Judah and Jerusalem to all the children of the captivity, that they should gather at Jerusalem;

  • 14And, behold, you have risen in your fathers' place, an increase of sinful men, to add still more to the fierce anger of the LORD toward Israel.

  • 4Do not be like your fathers, to whom the former prophets proclaimed, saying, Thus says the LORD of hosts: Turn now from your evil ways and from your evil deeds. But they did not hear nor listen to Me, says the LORD.

  • 6And I was very angry when I heard their cry and these words.

  • 2And it shall come to pass, if they say to you, Where shall we go forth? then you shall tell them, Thus says the LORD; Those for death, to death; and those for the sword, to the sword; and those for the famine, to the famine; and those for the captivity, to the captivity.

  • 28The voice of those who flee and escape from the land of Babylon, to declare in Zion the vengeance of the LORD our God, the vengeance of his temple.
