For thus says the LORD, Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the Gentiles like a flowing stream: then shall you nurse, you shall be carried on her sides, and be dandled on her knees.

22Thus says the Lord GOD, Behold, I will lift up my hand to the Gentiles, and set up my standard to the people: and they shall bring your sons in their arms, and your daughters shall be carried upon their shoulders.
23And kings shall be your nursing fathers, and their queens your nursing mothers: they shall bow down to you with their face toward the earth, and lick up the dust of your feet; and you shall know that I am the LORD: for they shall not be ashamed who wait for me.
3For I will pour water on him who is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground: I will pour my Spirit upon your descendants, and my blessing upon your offspring:
11He shall feed his flock like a shepherd; he shall gather the lambs with his arm and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young.
12Therefore they shall come and sing in the height of Zion, and shall flow together to the goodness of the LORD, for wheat, for wine, and for oil, and for the young of the flock and the herd: and their soul shall be as a watered garden, and they shall not sorrow anymore at all.
13Then shall the virgin rejoice in the dance, both young men and old together: for I will turn their mourning into joy, and will comfort them, and make them rejoice from their sorrow.
14And I will satisfy the soul of the priests with abundance, and my people shall be satisfied with my goodness, says the LORD.
5For as a young man marries a virgin, so shall your sons marry you: and as the bridegroom rejoices over the bride, so shall your God rejoice over you.
15Can a woman forget her nursing child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yes, they may forget, yet I will not forget you.
3Listen to me, O house of Jacob, and all the remnant of the house of Israel, who have been carried by me from birth, who are carried from the womb:
3Lest I strip her naked, and set her as in the day she was born, and make her like a wilderness, and set her like a dry land, and kill her with thirst.
12For the seed shall be prosperous; the vine shall give its fruit, and the ground shall give its increase, and the heavens shall give their dew; and I will cause the remnant of this people to possess all these things.
16For as you have drunk on My holy mountain, so shall all the nations drink continually; yes, they shall drink, and swallow, and they shall be as though they had never been.
21But there the glorious LORD will be a place of broad rivers and streams; in which no rowing vessel will go, nor will any majestic ships pass by.
13What can I witness for you? what can I liken to you, O daughter of Jerusalem? what can I compare to you, that I may comfort you, O virgin daughter of Zion? for your ruin is vast like the sea: who can heal you?
18And it shall come to pass in that day that the mountains shall drip with new wine, the hills shall flow with milk, and all the brooks of Judah shall flow with water, and a fountain shall come forth from the house of the LORD, and shall water the valley of Shittim.
22Yet, behold, in it shall be left a remnant that shall be brought forth, both sons and daughters: behold, they shall come to you, and you shall see their way and their deeds: and you shall be comforted concerning the evil that I have brought upon Jerusalem, even concerning all that I have brought upon it.
18There is none to guide her among all the sons she has brought forth; neither is there any who takes her by the hand of all the sons she has raised.
19These two things have come upon you; who shall feel sorry for you? Desolation and destruction, and the famine, and the sword: by whom shall I comfort you?
12For you shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace; the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.
17Zion spreads forth her hands, and there is none to comfort her: the LORD has commanded concerning Jacob that his adversaries should be all around him: Jerusalem is like a menstruous woman among them.
10Be in pain and labor to bring forth, O daughter of Zion, like a woman in labor. For now you shall go forth out of the city, and you shall dwell in the field, and you shall go even to Babylon; there you shall be delivered; there the LORD shall redeem you from the hand of your enemies.
7I have caused you to multiply like the bud of the field, and you have increased and grown great, and you have come to excellent ornaments; your breasts are formed, and your hair has grown, whereas you were naked and bare.

11And the LORD shall guide you continually and satisfy your soul in drought, and strengthen your bones: and you shall be like a watered garden and like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.
9For this is as the waters of Noah unto me: for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth; so have I sworn that I would not be angry with you, nor rebuke you.
10For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from you, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, says the LORD that has mercy on you.
14Sing, O daughter of Zion; shout, O Israel; be glad and rejoice with all the heart, O daughter of Jerusalem.
10Your mother is like a vine in your blood, planted by the waters; she was fruitful and full of branches because of many waters.
2And the nations shall see your righteousness, and all kings your glory: and you shall be called by a new name, which the mouth of the LORD shall designate.
18Oh that you had listened to my commandments! Then your peace would have been like a river, and your righteousness like the waves of the sea.
36Therefore thus says the LORD: Behold, I will plead your cause, and take vengeance for you; and I will dry up her sea and make her springs dry.
18Lift up your eyes around, and behold: all these gather themselves together, and come to you. As I live, says the LORD, you shall surely clothe yourself with them all, as with an ornament, and bind them on you, as a bride does.
34You shall even drink it and drain it out, and you shall break its shards, and pluck off your own breasts: for I have spoken it, says the Lord GOD.
10And the sons of foreigners shall build up your walls, and their kings shall minister to you; for in My wrath I struck you, but in My favor I have had mercy on you.
11Therefore your gates shall be open continually; they shall not be shut day or night, that men may bring to you the wealth of the Gentiles, and that their kings may be brought.
3For the LORD will comfort Zion: he will comfort all her waste places; and he will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the LORD; joy and gladness will be found in it, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody.
9She that has borne seven languishes: she has given up the ghost; her sun has gone down while it was yet day: she has been ashamed and confounded: and the rest of them I will deliver to the sword before their enemies, says the LORD.
8And he shall pass through Judah; he shall overflow and go over, he shall reach even to the neck; and the stretching out of his wings shall fill the breadth of your land, O Immanuel.
12Your mother shall be greatly ashamed; she that bore you shall be confounded: behold, the hindermost of the nations shall be a wilderness, a dry land, and a desert.
