    16And the people to whom they prophesy shall be cast out in the streets of Jerusalem because of the famine and the sword; they will have no one to bury them—neither them, their wives, nor their sons, nor their daughters—for I will pour their wickedness upon them.

    17Therefore, you shall speak this word to them: 'Let my eyes flow with tears night and day, and let them not cease; for the virgin daughter of my people is broken with a great breach, with a very grievous blow.'

  • 4For so the LORD said to me, I will take my rest, and I will observe in my dwelling place like a clear heat on herbs, and like a cloud of dew in the heat of harvest.

  • 7For they have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind. It has no stalk; the bud shall yield no meal. If it does yield, strangers shall swallow it up.

  • 6Therefore my fury and my anger was poured forth, and kindled in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem; and they are wasted and desolate, as at this day.

  • 13The nations shall rush like the rushing of many waters: but God shall rebuke them, and they shall flee far away, and shall be chased as the chaff of the mountains before the wind, and like a rolling thing before the whirlwind.

  • 14But I will kindle a fire in the wall of Rabbah, and it shall devour its palaces, with shouting in the day of battle, with a tempest in the day of the whirlwind:

  • 7The grass withers, the flower fades, because the breath of the LORD blows upon it; surely the people are grass.

  • 13Therefore, thus says the Lord GOD: I will rend it with a stormy wind in my fury; there shall be an overflowing shower in my anger, and great hailstones in my fury to consume it.

  • 14And I will scatter toward every wind all who are around him to help him, and all his bands; and I will draw out the sword after them.

  • 5You will bring down the noise of strangers, as the heat in a dry place; even the heat with the shadow of a cloud: the song of the terrible ones shall be brought low.

  • 8For this gird yourselves with sackcloth, lament and howl: for the fierce anger of the LORD is not turned back from us.

  • 11When its boughs are withered, they shall be broken off: the women come and set them on fire; for it is a people of no understanding: therefore He who made them will not have mercy on them, and He who formed them will show them no favor.
