42And I knew that you always hear me: but because of the people who stand by, I said it, that they may believe that you sent me.
43And when he had spoken thus, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.
44And he who was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was wrapped with a cloth. Jesus said to them, Loose him, and let him go.
39Jesus said, Take away the stone. Martha, the sister of him who was dead, said to him, Lord, by this time there is a stench, for he has been dead four days.
40Jesus said to her, Did I not say to you that if you would believe, you would see the glory of God?

21Then Martha said to Jesus, Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died.
22But I know that even now, whatever you ask of God, God will give you.

2There they made him a supper; and Martha served, but Lazarus was one of those who sat at the table with him.
3Then Mary took a pound of very costly spikenard ointment, anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair; and the house was filled with the fragrance of the ointment.
9A large crowd of the Jews then knew that he was there; and they came, not only for Jesus' sake, but that they might also see Lazarus, whom he had raised from the dead.
10But the chief priests resolved that they might also put Lazarus to death,
2And a certain centurion's servant, who was dear to him, was sick, and ready to die.
3And when he heard of Jesus, he sent to him the elders of the Jews, pleading with him that he would come and heal his servant.
39And she had a sister called Mary, who also sat at Jesus' feet and heard his word.
40But Martha was distracted with much serving, and she approached him and said, Lord, do you not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Therefore tell her to help me.
