13Therefore he was hired, that I should be afraid, and act that way, and sin, so they might have cause for an evil report, that they might reproach me.
14My God, remember Tobiah and Sanballat according to these their works, and the prophetess Noadiah, and the rest of the prophets, who would have made me afraid.
10When Sanballat the Horonite, and Tobiah the servant, the Ammonite, heard of it, it grieved them exceedingly that a man had come to seek the welfare of the children of Israel.
11So I came to Jerusalem, and was there three days.

4And it happened, when I heard these words, that I sat down and wept, and mourned for days, and fasted, and prayed before the God of heaven,
20Now the merchants and sellers of all kinds of goods spent the night outside Jerusalem once or twice.
21Then I warned them, and said to them, Why do you spend the night around the wall? If you do so again, I will lay hands on you. From that time on they came no more on the Sabbath.
22And I commanded the Levites that they should cleanse themselves, and come and guard the gates, to sanctify the Sabbath day. Remember me, O my God, concerning this also, and spare me according to the greatness of Your mercy.
17Moreover, in those days the nobles of Judah sent many letters to Tobiah, and the letters of Tobiah came to them.
13I also shook out the fold of my garment and said, So may God shake out every man from his house and from his labor who does not keep this promise. Even so may he be shaken out and emptied. And all the assembly said, Amen, and praised the LORD. And the people did according to this promise.
13The LORD said to me, 'Throw it to the potter—that princely price they set on me.' So I took the thirty pieces of silver and threw them to the potter in the house of the LORD.
8Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying,
3And when I heard this thing, I tore my garment and my mantle, and pulled out the hair of my head and of my beard, and sat down astonished.
4Then everyone who trembled at the words of the God of Israel assembled to me, because of the transgression of those who had been carried away; and I sat astonished until the evening sacrifice.
7But it happened, when Sanballat, Tobiah, the Arabians, the Ammonites, and the Ashdodites heard that the walls of Jerusalem were repaired, and the breaches began to be stopped, they were very angry,
7And I did so as I was commanded: I brought out my belongings by day, as belongings for captivity, and in the evening I dug through the wall with my hand; I brought them out at twilight, and I bore them on my shoulder in their sight.
8In the morning the word of the LORD came to me, saying,

25And weighed out to them the silver, the gold, and the vessels, the offering for the house of our God, which the king, his counselors, his lords, and all Israel present had offered:
4Hear, O our God; for we are despised: turn their reproach upon their own head, and give them as prey in a land of captivity:
4I will bring it forth, says the LORD of hosts, and it shall enter into the house of the thief, and into the house of him who swears falsely by my name: and it shall remain in the midst of his house, and shall consume it, with its timber and its stones.
14Remember me, O my God, concerning this, and do not wipe out my good deeds that I have done for the house of my God and for its services.
17Then I said to them, You see the distress that we are in, how Jerusalem lies waste, and its gates are burned with fire. Come, let us build up the wall of Jerusalem, that we may no longer be a reproach.
3Moreover, because I have set my affection to the house of my God, I have given of my own proper goods, of gold and silver, which I have given to the house of my God, over and above all that I have prepared for the holy house,
16And the priests went into the inner part of the house of the LORD to cleanse it, and brought out all the uncleanness they found in the temple of the LORD into the court of the house of the LORD. And the Levites took it to carry it out to the brook Kidron.
18And all the vessels of the house of God, great and small, and the treasures of the house of the LORD, and the treasures of the king and of his princes; all these he brought to Babylon.
19And they burned the house of God, and tore down the wall of Jerusalem, and burned all its palaces with fire, and destroyed all its valuable articles.
20Then I will uproot them from My land which I have given them; and this house, which I have sanctified for My name, I will cast out of My sight, and will make it a proverb and a byword among all nations.
