9And when I was with you and in need, I was a burden to no one: for what I lacked the brothers who came from Macedonia supplied. And in all things I have kept myself from being a burden to you, and so I will keep myself.
18Now some are puffed up as though I were not coming to you.
19But I will come to you shortly, if the Lord wills, and I will know not the words of those who are puffed up, but the power.
8Therefore, though I might be very bold in Christ to command you to do what is fitting,
4Great is my boldness of speech toward you, great is my boasting of you: I am filled with comfort, I am exceedingly joyful in all our tribulation.
17Yes, and if I am offered upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I rejoice, and rejoice with you all.
18But I have all and abound; I am full, having received from Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, a sweet-smelling aroma, an acceptable sacrifice, well-pleasing to God.
19But I trust in the Lord Jesus to send Timothy to you shortly, that I also may be encouraged when I know your state.
