10David Praises the Lord David praised the LORD before the entire assembly:“O LORD God of our father Israel, you deserve praise forevermore!
18He told them,“The LORD your God is with you! He has made you secure on every side, for he handed over to me the inhabitants of the region and the region is subdued before the LORD and his people.

26There was a great celebration in Jerusalem, unlike anything that had occurred in Jerusalem since the time of King Solomon son of David of Israel.
5Indeed, the leaders sit there on thrones and make legal decisions, on the thrones of the house of David.
4He said,“The LORD God of Israel is worthy of praise because he has fulfilled what he promised my father David.
11The LORD gives his people strength; the LORD grants his people security.
6He built fortified cities throughout Judah, for the land was at rest and there was no war during those years; the LORD gave him peace.
13O LORD, truly I have built a lofty temple for you, a place where you can live permanently.”
20But Judah will reside securely forever, and Jerusalem will be secure from one generation to the next.
10I will establish a place for my people Israel and settle them there; they will live there and not be disturbed any more. Violent men will not oppress them again, as they did in the beginning
11and during the time when I appointed judges to lead my people Israel. Instead, I will give you relief from all your enemies. The LORD declares to you that he himself will build a dynastic house for you.

25If you do this, then the kings and princes who follow in David’s succession and ride in chariots or on horses will continue to enter through these gates, as well as their officials and the people of Judah and the citizens of Jerusalem. This city will always be filled with people.
7David lived in the fortress; for this reason it is called the City of David.
