25If you do this, then the kings and princes who follow in David’s succession and ride in chariots or on horses will continue to enter through these gates, as well as their officials and the people of Judah and the citizens of Jerusalem. This city will always be filled with people.
4“Go, tell my servant David:‘This is what the LORD says:“You must not build me a house in which to live.
22I will make the children who follow one another in the line of my servant David very numerous. I will also make the Levites who minister before me very numerous. I will make them all as numerous as the stars in the sky and as the sands which are on the seashore.’”
23The LORD’s message came to Jeremiah another time.

32You will see trouble in my dwelling place! Israel will experience blessings, but there will not be an old man in your house for all time.
25So now, O LORD God, make this promise you have made about your servant and his family a permanent reality. Do as you promised,
34I will not take the whole kingdom from his hand. I will allow him to be ruler for the rest of his life for the sake of my chosen servant David who kept my commandments and rules.
