25So now, O LORD God, make this promise you have made about your servant and his family a permanent reality. Do as you promised,
26so you may gain lasting fame, as people say,‘The LORD of Heaven’s Armies is God over Israel!’ The dynasty of your servant David will be established before you,
27for you, O LORD of Heaven’s Armies, the God of Israel, have told your servant,‘I will build you a dynastic house.’ That is why your servant has had the courage to pray this prayer to you.
28Now, O Sovereign LORD, you are the true God! May your words prove to be true! You have made this good promise to your servant!
14and prayed:“O LORD God of Israel, there is no god like you in heaven or on earth! You maintain covenantal loyalty to your servants who obey you with sincerity.
15You have kept your word to your servant, my father David; this very day you have fulfilled what you promised.
22You made Israel your very own nation for all time. You, O LORD, became their God.
23So now, O LORD, may the promise you made about your servant and his family become a permanent reality! Do as you promised,

9I was with you wherever you went, and I defeated all your enemies before you. Now I will make you as famous as the great men of the earth.
21He is the one you should praise; he is your God, the one who has done these great and awesome things for you that you have seen.

12I grant your request, and give you a wise and discerning mind superior to that of anyone who has preceded or will succeed you.
11O LORD, you are great, mighty, majestic, magnificent, glorious, and sovereign over all the sky and earth! You, LORD, have dominion and exalt yourself as the ruler of all.
10For you are great and do amazing things. You alone are God.

7Nathan said to David,“You are that man! This is what the LORD God of Israel has said:‘I chose you to be king over Israel and I rescued you from the hand of Saul.
8The LORD told my father David,‘It is right for you to have a strong desire to build a temple to honor me.
27Has my master the king authorized this without informing your servants who should succeed my master the king on his throne?”
8May the LORD your God be praised because he favored you by placing you on his throne as the one ruling on his behalf! Because of your God’s love for Israel and his lasting commitment to them, he made you king over them so you could make just and right decisions.”
30The LORD will do for my lord everything that he promised you, and he will make you a leader over Israel.
12David realized that the LORD had established him as king over Israel and that he had elevated his kingdom for the sake of his people Israel.
