20 A Divine Decision The LORD was furious with Israel. He said,“This nation has violated the terms of the covenant I made with their ancestors by disobeying me.
20 For after I have brought them to the land I promised to their ancestors– one flowing with milk and honey– and they eat their fill and become fat, then they will turn to other gods and worship them; they will reject me and break my covenant.
21 Then when many disasters and distresses overcome them this song will testify against them, for their descendants will not forget it. I know the intentions they have in mind today, even before I bring them to the land I have promised.”

19 But again I ask, didn’t Israel understand? First Moses says,“I will make you jealous by those who are not a nation; with a senseless nation I will provoke you to anger.”
17 My God will reject them, for they have not obeyed him; so they will be fugitives among the nations.
23 Then I will take away my hand, and you will see my back, but my face must not be seen.”
