17But you are always thinking and looking for ways to increase your wealth by dishonest means. Your eyes and your heart are set on killing some innocent person and committing fraud and oppression.
19You have profaned me among my people for handfuls of barley and scraps of bread. You have put to death people who should not die and kept alive those who should not live by your lies to my people, who listen to lies!

7But listen to what I say to you and to all these people.
17“Yet your people say,‘The behavior of the Lord is not right,’ when it is their behavior that is not right.

21While you were feeling secure I gave you warning. But you said,“I refuse to listen to you.” That is the way you have acted from your earliest history onward. Indeed, you have never paid attention to me.
