20So I said,“O LORD of Heaven’s Armies, you are a just judge! You examine people’s hearts and minds. I want to see you pay them back for what they have done because I trust you to vindicate my cause.”

12Those who seek my life try to entrap me; those who want to harm me speak destructive words; all day long they say deceitful things.

6know then that God has wronged me and encircled me with his net.
2The wicked arrogantly chase the oppressed; the oppressed are trapped by the schemes the wicked have dreamed up.
17But now you are preoccupied with the judgment due the wicked, judgment and justice take hold of you.
13It’s like the old proverb says:‘From evil people evil proceeds.’ But my hand will not be against you.
3How long will you threaten a man? All of you are murderers, as dangerous as a leaning wall or an unstable fence.
28If you say,‘How we will pursue him, since the root of the trouble is found in him!’
2No! You plan how to do what is unjust; you deal out violence in the earth.
3But you, LORD, know all about me. You watch me and test my devotion to you. Drag these wicked men away like sheep to be slaughtered! Appoint a time when they will be killed!
12O LORD of Heaven’s Armies, you test and prove the righteous. You see into people’s hearts and minds. Pay them back for what they have done because I trust you to vindicate my cause.

They are saying,“Come on, let’s publicly denounce him!” All my so-called friends are just watching for something that would lead to my downfall. They say,“Perhaps he can be enticed into slipping up, so we can prevail over him and get our revenge on him.
27Yes, you would gamble for the fatherless, and auction off your friend.
15Those who try to hide their plans from the LORD are as good as dead, who do their work in secret and boast,“Who sees us? Who knows what we’re doing?”
