Verse 1

The Lord sent Nathan to David. When Nathan arrived, he said to him, "There were two men in a city. One was rich, and the other was poor."

Then withdraw from him so he will be struck down and killed.' 16 As Joab kept watch over the city, he positioned Uriah at a place where he knew the strongest defenders were. 17 When the men of the city came out and fought against Joab, some of David’s men fell in battle, and Uriah the Hittite also died.

Let him warn them, so they will not also come to this place of torment.' 29 But Abraham said, 'They have Moses and the Prophets; let them listen to them.' 30 ‘No, father Abraham,’ he said, ‘but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.’ 31 But Abraham said to him, 'If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.'
