Then David said, 'Will the leaders of Keilah hand me and my men over to Saul?' The LORD replied, 'They will hand you over.'

10David said, "LORD, God of Israel, your servant has certainly heard that Saul intends to come to Keilah and destroy the city because of me.

3But David's men said to him, "We are afraid here in Judah. How much more if we go to Keilah to face the battle lines of the Philistines!"
4So David inquired of the LORD again, and the LORD answered him, "Arise, go down to Keilah, for I will give the Philistines into your hand."
5David and his men went to Keilah and fought against the Philistines. He drove their livestock away and struck them with a great blow. Thus, David saved the inhabitants of Keilah.
13So David and his men, about six hundred in number, left Keilah and moved wherever they could go. When Saul was told that David had escaped from Keilah, he stopped his pursuit.
14David stayed in the wilderness strongholds and in the hill country of the Wilderness of Ziph. Saul searched for him every day, but God did not hand David over to him.
15When David saw that Saul had come out to seek his life, he stayed in the Wilderness of Ziph, in the woods.
7Saul was informed that David had gone to Keilah, and he said, "God has delivered him into my hand, for he has trapped himself by entering a city with gates and bars."
8So Saul summoned all the troops for battle to go down to Keilah, to besiege David and his men.
9David got up afterward, went out of the cave, and called after Saul, 'My lord the king!' When Saul looked behind him, David bowed down with his face to the ground and paid homage.
10David said to Saul, 'Why do you listen to the words of men who say, "David seeks your harm"?'
37David added, 'The LORD who rescued me from the paw of the lion and the paw of the bear will rescue me from the hand of this Philistine.' Saul said to David, 'Go, and may the LORD be with you.'
10David inquired of God, saying, "Should I go up against the Philistines? Will you deliver them into my hand?" The LORD replied, "Go up, and I will deliver them into your hand."

22Now swear to me by the LORD that you will not cut off my descendants or destroy my name from my father's family.
23But David said, "You must not act this way, my brothers, with what the Lord has given us. He has protected us and delivered the raiding party that came against us into our hands.
15David asked him, "Can you lead me to this raiding party?" He answered, "Swear to me by God that you will neither kill me nor hand me over to my master, and I will lead you to them."
3So Saul chose three thousand elite men from all Israel and went to search for David and his men near the rocks of the wild goats.
4He came to the sheepfolds along the way, and there was a cave. Saul went in to relieve himself, while David and his men were sitting in the innermost part of the cave.
7He said to his men, 'The LORD forbid that I should do such a thing to my lord, the LORD’s anointed, by raising my hand against him, for he is the LORD’s anointed.'
1David spoke to the LORD the words of this song on the day the LORD rescued him from the hand of all his enemies and from the hand of Saul.
2He said: "The LORD is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer.
15Against whom has the king of Israel come out? Who are you pursuing? A dead dog? A flea?
31When David's words were heard, they were reported to Saul, and he sent for him.
32David said to Saul, 'Let no one lose heart because of this Philistine. Your servant will go and fight him.'

25Then Saul said to David, "Blessed are you, my son David. You will do great things and surely prevail." So David went his way, and Saul returned to his place.

26Saul was going along one side of the mountain, and David and his men were on the other side, hurrying to get away from Saul. But as Saul and his forces were closing in on David and his men to capture them,
13Saul said to him, 'Why have you conspired against me, you and the son of Jesse, giving him bread and a sword and inquiring of God for him, so that he has risen against me to lie in wait, as he does today?'
18Now do it! For the Lord has promised David, 'By the hand of my servant David I will save my people Israel from the Philistines and from all their enemies.’'
19The Ziphites went to Saul at Gibeah and said, 'Isn't David hiding among us in the strongholds in the woods, on the hill of Hachilah, south of Jeshimon?'
20Now, O king, come down whenever you desire, and it will be our duty to surrender him into your hand.
12David’s men turned and went back. When they arrived, they reported every word.
23Stay with me; don’t be afraid. The one who seeks my life is seeking yours as well. You will be safe with me.
17Saul recognized David’s voice and said, "Is that your voice, my son David?" David replied, "It is my voice, my lord the king."
18And he added, "Why is my lord pursuing his servant? What have I done, and what wrong is in my hand?
6David then answered and said to Ahimelech the Hittite and to Abishai son of Zeruiah, Joab's brother, "Who will go down with me to Saul in the camp?" Abishai said, "I will go down with you."
37Saul inquired of God, 'Shall I go down after the Philistines? Will you deliver them into the hand of Israel?' But He did not answer him that day.
34David said to Saul, 'Your servant has been tending his father’s sheep. Whenever a lion or a bear came and carried off a lamb from the flock,'
10The priest replied, 'The sword of Goliath the Philistine, whom you killed in the Valley of Elah, is here; it is wrapped in a cloth behind the ephod. If you want it, take it. There is no other here.' David said, 'There is none like it; give it to me.'
17Some men from Benjamin and Judah also came to David at the stronghold.
16For the king will hear me and deliver me from the hand of the man who seeks to destroy me and my son together out of the inheritance of God.'
