25When Jehu finished offering the burnt offering, he said to the guards and officers, "Go in and kill them; let no one escape." The guards and officers struck them down with the sword, threw the bodies out, and went into the inner sanctuary of the temple of Baal.
26They brought out the sacred pillars of the temple of Baal and burned them.
27They also tore down the sacred pillar of Baal, demolished the temple of Baal, and turned it into a latrine, which it remains to this day.
28Thus Jehu destroyed Baal from Israel.
29However, Jehu did not turn away from the sins that Jeroboam son of Nebat had caused Israel to commit—the worship of the golden calves at Bethel and Dan.

21Elijah approached all the people and said, "How long will you waver between two opinions? If the LORD is God, follow Him; but if Baal is God, follow him." But the people said nothing.
12They said, 'That's not true! Tell us!' So he said, 'This is what he said to me: “This is what the LORD says: I anoint you king over Israel.”'
13They quickly took their garments, spread them under him on the bare steps, blew the trumpet, and proclaimed, 'Jehu is king!'
32He set up an altar for Baal in the temple of Baal that he built in Samaria.
30The men of the city said to Joash, 'Bring out your son! He must die, because he has torn down Baal's altar and cut down the Asherah pole beside it.'

12So Zimri destroyed all the house of Baasha, in accordance with the word of the Lord spoken against Baasha through the prophet Jehu.
16They abandoned all the commandments of the Lord their God. They made for themselves two cast idols in the form of calves, made an Asherah pole, worshiped all the host of heaven, and served Baal.
15Blow the ram’s horn in Zion! Declare a holy fast; call a sacred assembly.

13For your gods, Judah, are as numerous as your cities; and the altars you have set up to the shameful thing, altars to burn incense to Baal, are as many as the streets of Jerusalem.
1Now Ahab had seventy sons in Samaria, and Jehu wrote letters and sent them to Samaria, to the rulers of Jezreel, to the elders, and to the guardians of Ahab’s children, saying:
53He did evil in the eyes of the LORD and followed the ways of his father, his mother, and Jeroboam son of Nebat, who caused Israel to sin.
21Joram ordered, 'Hitch up my chariot.' When it was hitched up, Joram king of Israel and Ahaziah king of Judah went out, each in his own chariot, to meet Jehu. They found him on the plot of land that had belonged to Naboth the Jezreelite.
13There, Jehu met the relatives of Ahaziah, king of Judah, and asked, "Who are you?" They answered, "We are the relatives of Ahaziah, and we have come to greet the sons of the king and the queen mother."
