    2 But Jehosheba, the daughter of King Joram and sister of Ahaziah, took Joash, the son of Ahaziah, and secretly rescued him from among the king's sons who were being put to death, along with his nurse, and hid him in a bedroom. So he was hidden from Athaliah, and he was not killed.

    3 For six years, he stayed with her, hiding in the temple of the LORD, while Athaliah ruled over the land.

    4 In the seventh year, Jehoiada sent for the commanders of hundreds, the Carites, and the guards and brought them to him at the temple of the LORD. He made a covenant with them, put them under oath in the temple of the LORD, and showed them the king's son.

    15 Jehoiada the priest ordered the commanders of hundreds, the officers of the army, 'Take her outside the ranks, and whoever follows her, put them to death by the sword.' For the priest had said, 'She must not be killed in the temple of the LORD.'

    20 He took the commanders of hundreds, the nobles, the rulers of the people, and all the people of the land and brought the king down from the house of the Lord. They entered through the Upper Gate to the king's palace and seated the king on the royal throne.
