30 Cornelius replied, 'Four days ago at this very hour, I was fasting and praying in my house at three in the afternoon, and suddenly a man in shining clothes stood before me.
31 He said, 'Cornelius, your prayer has been heard, and your acts of charity have been remembered before God.
32 Send someone to Joppa and summon Simon, who is called Peter. He is staying as a guest in the house of Simon, a tanner, by the sea.'
33 So immediately, I sent for you, and you were kind enough to come. Now we are all here in the presence of God to listen to everything the Lord has commanded you to say.
34 Then Peter began to speak: 'Now I truly understand that God does not show favoritism,
1 There was a man in Caesarea named Cornelius, a centurion in what was called the Italian Regiment.
2 He was a devout man and feared God along with all his household. He gave many alms to the people and prayed to God continually.
3 One afternoon, about three o’clock, he clearly saw in a vision an angel of God coming to him and saying, 'Cornelius.'
4 Cornelius gazed at him in fear and asked, 'What is it, Lord?' The angel replied, 'Your prayers and your acts of charity have ascended as a memorial offering before God.'
5 Now send men to Joppa and call for Simon, who is also named Peter.

7 When the angel who spoke to Cornelius had departed, Cornelius called two of his household servants and a devout soldier who was one of his attendants.

13 He told us how he had seen an angel standing in his house and saying, ‘Send men to Joppa and bring back Simon, who is called Peter.
14 He will speak words to you by which you and your entire household will be saved.
2 So when Peter went up to Jerusalem, those who were of the circumcision group began to argue with him,
3 saying, 'You went to uncircumcised men and ate with them.'
4 But Peter began to explain it to them step by step, saying:
5 'I was in the city of Joppa praying, and I saw in a trance a vision: something like a large sheet being let down from heaven by its four corners, and it came down to me.
7 After much debate, Peter stood up and said to them, "Brothers, you know that in the early days God chose me among you so that by my mouth the Gentiles would hear the word of the gospel and believe.
46 for they were hearing them speaking in tongues and praising God. Then Peter responded:
22 What should we do? They will certainly hear that you have come.
