31He said, 'Cornelius, your prayer has been heard, and your acts of charity have been remembered before God.
32Send someone to Joppa and summon Simon, who is called Peter. He is staying as a guest in the house of Simon, a tanner, by the sea.'
33So immediately, I sent for you, and you were kind enough to come. Now we are all here in the presence of God to listen to everything the Lord has commanded you to say.
34Then Peter began to speak: 'Now I truly understand that God does not show favoritism,
1There was a man in Caesarea named Cornelius, a centurion in what was called the Italian Regiment.
2He was a devout man and feared God along with all his household. He gave many alms to the people and prayed to God continually.
3One afternoon, about three o’clock, he clearly saw in a vision an angel of God coming to him and saying, 'Cornelius.'
4Cornelius gazed at him in fear and asked, 'What is it, Lord?' The angel replied, 'Your prayers and your acts of charity have ascended as a memorial offering before God.'
5Now send men to Joppa and call for Simon, who is also named Peter.

7When the angel who spoke to Cornelius had departed, Cornelius called two of his household servants and a devout soldier who was one of his attendants.

14He will speak words to you by which you and your entire household will be saved.
2So when Peter went up to Jerusalem, those who were of the circumcision group began to argue with him,
3saying, 'You went to uncircumcised men and ate with them.'
4But Peter began to explain it to them step by step, saying:
5'I was in the city of Joppa praying, and I saw in a trance a vision: something like a large sheet being let down from heaven by its four corners, and it came down to me.
7After much debate, Peter stood up and said to them, "Brothers, you know that in the early days God chose me among you so that by my mouth the Gentiles would hear the word of the gospel and believe.
46for they were hearing them speaking in tongues and praising God. Then Peter responded:
22What should we do? They will certainly hear that you have come.
11When Peter came to himself, he said, 'Now I truly know that the Lord sent His angel and rescued me from Herod's grasp and from all that the Jewish people were expecting.'
13Then a voice said to him, 'Rise, Peter, kill and eat.'
14But Peter said, 'By no means, Lord! For I have never eaten anything common or unclean.'
21Then He said to me, 'Go, because I am sending you far away to the Gentiles.'
28Peter replied, 'Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.'
29Jesus said, 'Come.' Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water, and came toward Jesus.
20'But what about you?' he asked. 'Who do you say I am?' Peter answered, 'God’s Messiah.'
14Then Peter stood up with the eleven, raised his voice and addressed the crowd: 'Men of Judea and all who live in Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and listen carefully to my words.'
7I also heard a voice saying to me, ‘Get up, Peter; kill and eat.’
