    17 While Peter was deeply perplexed about what the vision he had seen might mean, behold, the men who had been sent by Cornelius had asked for Simon’s house and stood at the gate.

    18 They called out, asking if Simon, also known as Peter, was staying there as a guest.

    24 The following day they entered Caesarea. Cornelius was waiting for them and had called together his relatives and close friends.

    25 When Peter entered, Cornelius met him, fell at his feet, and worshiped him.

    1 There was a man in Caesarea named Cornelius, a centurion in what was called the Italian Regiment.

    2 He was a devout man and feared God along with all his household. He gave many alms to the people and prayed to God continually.

    3 One afternoon, about three o’clock, he clearly saw in a vision an angel of God coming to him and saying, 'Cornelius.'

    4 Cornelius gazed at him in fear and asked, 'What is it, Lord?' The angel replied, 'Your prayers and your acts of charity have ascended as a memorial offering before God.'

    5 Now send men to Joppa and call for Simon, who is also named Peter.

    6 He is staying as a guest with Simon, a tanner, whose house is by the sea. He will tell you what you must do.

    7 When the angel who spoke to Cornelius had departed, Cornelius called two of his household servants and a devout soldier who was one of his attendants.

    29 That is why I came without objection when I was sent for. Now may I ask why you sent for me?

    30 Cornelius replied, 'Four days ago at this very hour, I was fasting and praying in my house at three in the afternoon, and suddenly a man in shining clothes stood before me.

    31 He said, 'Cornelius, your prayer has been heard, and your acts of charity have been remembered before God.

    32 Send someone to Joppa and summon Simon, who is called Peter. He is staying as a guest in the house of Simon, a tanner, by the sea.'

    33 So immediately, I sent for you, and you were kind enough to come. Now we are all here in the presence of God to listen to everything the Lord has commanded you to say.

    11 Just then, three men who had been sent to me from Caesarea arrived at the house where I was staying.

    12 The Spirit told me to go with them without hesitation. These six brothers also went with me, and we entered the man's house.

    13 He told us how he had seen an angel standing in his house and saying, ‘Send men to Joppa and bring back Simon, who is called Peter.

    14 He will speak words to you by which you and your entire household will be saved.

    38 Since Lydda was near Joppa, the disciples heard that Peter was there and sent two men to him, urging him, "Please come to us without delay."

    39 So Peter got up and went with them. When he arrived, they took him to the upstairs room. All the widows stood around him weeping and showing him the robes and other clothing that Dorcas had made while she was with them.
