9 If you do not make the dream known to me, there is only one decree for you. You have agreed to speak false and corrupt words before me until the situation changes. Therefore, tell me the dream, so that I may know that you can reveal its interpretation."
10 The Chaldeans answered the king, saying, "There is no man on earth who can declare the king's matter. No great and powerful king has ever asked such a thing from any magician, enchanter, or Chaldean.
30 But as for me, this mystery has not been revealed to me because of any wisdom that I have more than anyone else, but so that the interpretation may be made known to the king and that you may understand the thoughts of your heart.
36 This was the dream, and we will now tell the king its interpretation.
22 He gave me understanding and said, 'Daniel, I have now come to give you insight and understanding.
12 Then these men came as a group and found Daniel petitioning and pleading before his God.
13 So they approached the king and said, 'Did you not sign a decree that for thirty days, anyone who petitions any god or man except you, O king, will be thrown into the lions’ den?' The king answered, 'The decree stands, in accordance with the law of the Medes and Persians, which cannot be repealed.'
4 Then the Chaldeans spoke to the king in Aramaic, "O king, live forever! Tell the dream to your servants, and we will reveal its interpretation."
5 The king answered the Chaldeans, saying, "The command from me is firm: if you do not make the dream and its interpretation known to me, you will be torn limb from limb, and your houses will be turned into rubble.
6 But if you reveal the dream and its interpretation, you will receive gifts, rewards, and great honor from me. So declare the dream and its interpretation to me."
7 They answered again, saying, "Let the king tell the dream to his servants, and we will reveal its interpretation."
16 I approached one of those standing there and asked him the truth about all this. So he told me and revealed the interpretation of these things.
