25Know and understand this: From the issuance of the decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until the Anointed One, the Prince, will be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks. It will be rebuilt with streets and a moat, but in difficult times.
26After the sixty-two weeks, the Anointed One will be cut off and have nothing. The people of the ruler who will come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end will come like a flood, and desolation has been decreed until the end of the war.
27He will confirm a covenant with many for one week, but in the middle of the week, he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And on the wing of abominations will come one who makes desolate, until the decreed destruction is poured out on the desolator.
14Now I have come to explain to you what will happen to your people in the latter days, for the vision concerns the days yet to come.
1In the third year of Cyrus, king of Persia, a message was revealed to Daniel, who was called Belteshazzar. The message was true, and it concerned a great conflict. He understood the message and had insight into the vision.
2During those days, I, Daniel, was mourning for three full weeks.

28This is the end of the matter. As for me, Daniel, my thoughts greatly troubled me, and my countenance changed, but I kept the matter in my heart.
17They began the consecration on the first day of the first month, and on the eighth day of the month, they reached the vestibule of the LORD. For eight days, they consecrated the house of the LORD, and on the sixteenth day of the first month, they completed their work.
