    22If a man is found lying with another man’s wife, both the man and the woman who were together must die. You must purge the evil from Israel.

    23If there is a young woman who is a virgin betrothed to a man, and another man finds her in the city and lies with her,

    24then you shall bring both of them to the gate of that city and stone them to death: the young woman because she did not cry out in the city, and the man because he violated another man’s wife. You must purge the evil from among you.

    25But if a man finds a betrothed young woman in the countryside, and forces her and lies with her, only the man who has done this shall die.

    26You shall do nothing to the young woman; she has committed no sin deserving death. This case is like when a man rises against his neighbor and murders him.

    27For he found her in the field, and though the betrothed young woman cried out for help, there was no one to rescue her.

    28If a man finds a young woman who is a virgin and not betrothed, and he seizes her and lies with her, and they are discovered,
