This was for the descendants of Machir son of Manasseh—for half the descendants of Machir, according to their clans. 32 These are the portions of land that Moses distributed as inheritances on the plains of Moab, beyond the Jordan east of Jericho. 33 However, Moses gave no inheritance to the tribe of Levi. The LORD, the God of Israel, is their inheritance, as He promised them.
