4 We captured all his cities at that time—there was not a city we did not take from them—sixty cities in all, the entire region of Argob, the kingdom of Og in Bashan.
5 All these cities were fortified with high walls, gates, and bars, besides many unwalled rural towns.
6 We completely destroyed them, just as we had done to Sihon, king of Heshbon. In every city, we destroyed the men, women, and children.
7 But we kept all the livestock and the spoils of the cities for ourselves.
8 At that time, we took the land from the two Amorite kings across the Jordan, from the Arnon Gorge to Mount Hermon.
10 We have heard how the LORD dried up the water of the Red Sea for you when you came out of Egypt, and what you did to Sihon and Og, the two kings of the Amorites east of the Jordan, whom you completely destroyed.
11 When we heard of it, our hearts melted, and everyone's courage failed because of you, for the LORD your God is God in heaven above and on the earth below.
12 At that time, we took possession of this land, from Aroer on the edge of the Arnon Valley, and half of the hill country of Gilead with its towns, and I gave them to the Reubenites and the Gadites.

31 Then the LORD said to me, 'See, I have begun to deliver Sihon and his land to you. Begin to take possession of it, that you may inherit his land.'
22 They took possession of the entire region of the Amorites, from the Arnon to the Jabbok and from the wilderness to the Jordan.
1 Now these are the kings of the land whom the Israelites defeated and whose land they took possession of, on the east side of the Jordan, from the Arnon Valley to Mount Hermon, including all the Arabah to the east.
2 Sihon, king of the Amorites, who lived in Heshbon, ruled from Aroer on the edge of the Arnon Valley, including the middle of the valley and half of Gilead, as far as the Jabbok River, the border of the Ammonites.
32 We will cross over armed before the Lord into the land of Canaan, but the possession of our inheritance will be on this side of the Jordan."
1 When all the kings of the Amorites west of the Jordan and all the kings of the Canaanites by the sea heard how the LORD had dried up the waters of the Jordan to allow the Israelites to cross, their hearts melted, and they lost all courage because of the Israelites.
33 He took land east of the Jordan—all the land of Gilead, the territory of Gad, Reuben, and Manasseh—from Aroer by the Arnon Gorge through Gilead and Bashan.

24 They said to Joshua, "The LORD has surely given the whole land into our hands; all the inhabitants of the land are melting in fear because of us."
18 The LORD drove out all the peoples before us, including the Amorites who lived in the land. We too will serve the LORD, for He is our God.
25 Their territory included Jazer, all the cities of Gilead, and half the land of the Ammonites as far as Aroer, which is near Rabbah.
24 'Rise up, set out, and cross over the Arnon Valley. See, I have delivered into your hands Sihon the Amorite, king of Heshbon, and his land. Begin to take possession of it and engage him in battle.

25 Taking with them some of the fruit of the land, they brought it back to us. And they reported, 'The land that the LORD our God is giving us is good.'

9 The LORD has driven out great and powerful nations before you, and no one has been able to stand against you to this day.
19 For we will not inherit any land with them beyond the Jordan, because our inheritance is on the east side of the Jordan.

26 While Israel lived in Heshbon and its villages, in Aroer and its villages, and in all the towns along the Arnon for three hundred years, why didn’t you recover them during that time?
27 In the valley, Beth Haram, Beth Nimrah, Succoth, and Zaphon—the rest of the kingdom of Sihon king of Heshbon, along with the Jordan and its boundary, reaching as far as the edge of the Sea of Kinnereth on the eastern side of the Jordan.
28 He said to them, 'Follow me, for the Lord has given your enemies, the Moabites, into your hands.' So they followed him, captured the fords of the Jordan leading to Moab, and did not allow anyone to cross over.
30 The LORD gave Libnah into Israel's hands, along with its king. Joshua put the city and everyone in it to the sword, leaving no survivors. He treated its king as he had treated the king of Jericho.
1 Listen, Israel: Today you are crossing over the Jordan to enter and take possession of nations greater and stronger than you, with cities that are great and fortified up to the heavens.
